Today we are sending out 1,000 King James Bibles to 2 Baptist Churches in Kerrville, Texas where the flood is, and are planning on sending food, clothing and supplies as well

Shortly before the start of the Podcast today, I had a phone call with Pastor Ed from Ranchero Drive Baptist Church in Kerrville, Texas. His church is just southeast of where the flood took place over the weekend. He told me that his church, as well as Victory Baptist Church just northwest of the river, have a very high need for King James Bibles. So we are sending out an emergency order of 1,000 Bibles that’s being processed today, and preparing to help meet whatever needs they have in the coming weeks just like we did in Asheville, North Carolina.

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 (KJB)

The NTEB Relief Convoy, created during the North Carolina floods and headed up by NTEB’er Charlie On the Hwy, is likely going to once again be pressed into service. As emergency and recovery efforts in Texas begin to wrap up over the next few days and weeks, there is going to be a tremendous need for food, clothing, clean water, personal supplies and baby diapers. Last year we sent 100,000lbs of those items up to Asheville, and will likely need to do at least that again. We need your help to do all this. The Acts of the Apostles, also known as the Book of Acts, shows you the life and ministry of the apostles of Jesus including the one who is “born out of due time”, the apostle Paul

We have begun our comprehensive look at the Acts of the Apostles, 28 chapters that take you from the Kingdom Age right into the Church Age. Along the way we see the roots and foundations of the New Testament Church as we know it today, rightly dividing as we go, watching for the dispensation to change. And change it does in a mighty way. But remember, the book of Acts is primarily a look into the lives of the apostles themselves, and things will look a little different than how Paul describes the Church in places like 1 Timothy. Signs, miracles and wonders are present, but they will come to an end by the time the book closes. The Kingdom Age closes with the stoning of Stephen, and the Church Age begins with the salvation of the Ethiopian eunuch. The Acts of the Apostles is one of the most exciting books in the New Testament, but one you must get right or you will wreck.

TONIGHT’S STUDY: Here in Acts 23, Paul is brought before the council and has to deal with a plot to assassinate him. Amazingly, it is going to take a small army of 200 soldiers, 200 spearmen and 70 horsemen to keep Paul alive long enough to testify in Caesarea. The scene in the courtroom is going to be wilder than anything ever dreamed up by Judge Wapner or Judge Judy. Paul is on trial for his life, and he is going to stand before Felix, Festus and Agrippa before it’s all done.

My heart grieves for all the lost who will spend eternity in hell if they reject the Lord Jesus Christ, the expectant hope of the world. He is not willing that any should perish.
