Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin’s peace talks send a chilling ripple of déjà vu, a historian has warned, sending Europe and Ukraine ‘back to 1938’

Someone once remarked that ‘those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it’, and certainly that applies in this article here today. I honestly don’t know what Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin are up to, but I will tell you this, they are up to something. It is highly unorthodox to hold peace talks to end a war, and then not allow the other party with whom the war is being waged to attend the meetings. I mean, how does that happen? It only happens when the terms of ending the war are being dictated from one side to the other. That’s not ‘peace talks’, that’s divide and conquer talks.

“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.” Ecclesiastes 1:9,10 (KJB)

I do not see Donald Trump as the Antichrist, as some have said, and I do not see him as Hitler, either. But what I do see is a man that God has put into office, according to Daniel 2:21, to carry out His will in these end times. This may be hard for some of you to swallow, but God has no interest in ‘making America great again’, not by a long shot. What God does have an interest in is carrying out what He told the prophets would be taking place in the last days. I see Donald Trump as an unwitting messenger by whom many of these events will be fulfilled. Elon Musk is by Trump’s side for a reason, the quicker you figure that out the easier this thing will be for you to understand. Dark days are on the horizon, war is coming, and it will begin in Europe as did the other two. That’s the memo.

‘Land-grabbers’ Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin ‘send Europe back to 1938’ with Ukraine intrigue

FROM THE MIRROR UK: A top history expert has accused the two leaders of “land grabbing”, with events in recent days bearing a chilling echo of when dictators Hitler and Mussolini signed away territory which the UK and France agreed to as to not exacerbate tensions. The US and Russia leaders have already appeared to have charged ahead with Ukraine peace talks, effectively locking out Kyiv and other European leaders.

The Trump administration has said the UK and Europe would not play a part in any negotiations as they looked set to plough ahead with talks in Riyadh this week, prompting fierce criticism and concerns. Prime Minister Keir Starmer is set to visit Washington DC next week after urging America to provide a “backstop” to any settlement brokered between Kyiv and Moscow. On Tuesday, Mr Trump said the US does not “need” to deploy peacekeeping troops and suggested Ukraine “should never have started” the war.

A British historian has already issued an urgent warning about history repeating itself, and has also likened the current situation to Hitler and Mussolini’s “land-grabbing” of the Sudetenland territory in September 1938. Professor Anthony Glees is an expert in European affairs and security who has previously spoken far and wide about the lessons taught by Hitler’s dictatorship.

 He told The Mirror: “I believe most sensible people the length and breadth of Europe are viewing these preparatory talks with a foreboding not experienced since 1938 when the UK & France met Hitler and Mussolini at Munich to sign away lands belonging to free Czechoslovakia to try to appease the fascist dictators. It was sold as ‘peace with honour’ and a ‘peace in our time’.

“But within months Hitler swallowed all of Czechoslovakia and within a year Europe was at war and millions died. Even Neville Chamberlain doubted his own deal because he began rapid rearmament programmes on his return to the UK.”

 Prof Glees added: “That’s the picture Europe has before its eyes right now. A small but brave free democracy fighting for its life is forced to be a bystander as its sovereignty is destroyed by Trump and Putin, both land grabbers, both megalomaniacs, brothers in bullying others.

“It’s outrageous that Trump has humiliated Zelensky in the past and now, literally, tramples over him. Whilst we know Putin is fully aware of the history of the last century, Trump, Hegseth and JD Vance are either clueless about what happens when free nations are sacrificed to war lords or (more likely) they couldn’t care less.”

So far, Britain has been making efforts to balance support for Ukraine alongside diplomacy with our biggest ally. The PM is now expected to try and bridge the gap when he visits the White House next week following an impromptu call from Trump last week, and is likely to call for security guarantees from the US.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, along with allies across the continent, have insisted that Kyiv must have a seat at the table in discussions over its future. Speaking to reporters at his Mar-a-Lago retreat in Florida on Tuesday night, Mr Trump said that he was “disappointed” Mr Zelensky had complained about being left out of talks. He suggested Ukraine should have been willing to make concessions to Russia before the 2022 invasion, adding: “Today I heard, ‘Oh, well, we weren’t invited’. Well, you been there for three years. The top diplomats from Russia and the U.S. met Tuesday in Saudi Arabia to discuss improving ties and negotiating an end to the war in Ukraine — talks that reflected a major and rapid change in American foreign policy under President Donald Trump.

Maybe it’s just me, but when I look out at the global landscape, I see a massive resetting of just about everything. Remember Klaus Schwab and his talk of the Great Reset? The resetting I see taking place now, under Donald Trump, has implications every bit as far reaching. Have you ever heard of ‘peace talks’ that didn’t involve the other party? How could that be? Something is not right here, and new alliances are being formed as the global order is definitely changing.

Everything is changing fast, almost too fast to properly acknowledge the intricate and complex events taking place. The whole world is rushing inexorably forward and it begs the question is the change that’s come good or bad? Some of it is good, some of it will be good, but much of that goodness will come at the expense of other things. Top Russian and US officials discuss improving ties and ending the Ukraine war — without Kyiv

FROM THE ASSOCIATED PRESS: No Ukrainian officials were present at the meeting, which came as the beleaguered country is slowly but steadily losing ground against more numerous Russian troops in a grinding war that began nearly three years ago. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his country won’t accept any outcome from this week’s talks if Kyiv doesn’t take part. European allies have also expressed concerns they are being sidelined.

Beyond Ukraine, the meeting — attended by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and other senior officials — had been expected to focus on thawing relations between the two countries, whose ties have fallen to their lowest level in decades.

The plan delivered to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy last week would “amount to the US economic colonization of Ukraine, in legal perpetuity” and also “implies a burden of reparations that cannot possibly be achieved.” source

The meeting at the Diriyah Palace in the Saudi capital of Riyadh also highlights de facto leader Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s efforts to be a major diplomatic player, burnishing a reputation severely tarnished by the 2018 killing of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Meanwhile, Russia continued to pummel Ukraine with drones, according to Kyiv’s military. The Ukrainian air force said Russian troops launched a barrage of 176 drones at Ukraine overnight, most of which were destroyed or disabled by jamming. One Russian drone struck a residential building in Dolynska in the Kirovohrad region, wounding a mother and her two children and prompting an evacuation of 38 apartments, the regional administration reported. Top Russian and US officials meet in Saudi Arabia for talks on Ukraine war

Top Russian and U.S. officials are holding talks in Saudi Arabia in a bid to improve their ties and negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met in Riyadh on Tuesday.

The US and Russian delegations have agreed to “address irritants to our bilateral relationship with the objective of taking steps necessary to normalise the operation of our respective diplomatic missions,” US state department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said after today’s Riyadh talks. The two sides also agreed to appoint high-level teams for Ukraine talks, “working on a path to ending the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible in a way that is enduring, sustainable, and acceptable to all sides,” she said. The US and Russia will also begin to look at “future cooperation on matters of mutual geopolitical interest and historic economic and investment opportunities which will emerge from a successful end to the conflict in Ukraine,” she added.

President Donald Trump has formed a league with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman from Saudi Arabia that just may result in the New World Order

Back in the 1960’s, singer songwriter Bob Dylan had a song called ‘The Times They Are A-Changin’, and one particularly poignant line from that song stands out to me as I sit here writing this article. Dylan sang ‘As the present now will later be past, The order is rapidly fadin’. And the first one now will later be last, for the times they are a-changin’. He has seemingly formed an alliance with Mohammed bin Salman to assist in brokering an end to the Russia Ukraine War, leveraging $600 billion in Saudi investment in the US, and helping Trump to possibly take control of Gaza and the West Bank.
