I am happy to report that all of the NTEB Relief Convoy has reached its destination, unharmed, and is being right now unloaded on the ground in Asheville.

Just moments ago, text messages from both Charlie On The Highway and Pastor Tucker lit up my phone, excitedly telling me that the NTEB Relief Convoy had arrived safe and sound at Bible Baptist Church in Asheville, North Carolina. On the Podcast today, we took time out to pray for all the men who were doing the driving, and the nearly 100,000 pounds of materials they were carrying. I am thrilled to report to you that those prayers have been wonderfully answered. Thank you, Lord Jesus!

Packed into our 6 trucks were 44,000 pounds of bottled water, 35,000 pounds of food, personal items, food, clothing and diapers, hundreds of John/Romans scripture portions, and 1,000 Bibles in English and Spanish. What a wonderful use of the NTEB Free Bible Program, this is exactly what it was raised up to do. These supplies will join donations from other groups who are also contributing, using Bible Baptist Church as a staging area under the direction of Pastor Andrew Sluder. Truly a monumental relief effort coming from many churches spread across multiple states, and made available to the some 92,766 residents of the city of Asheville.

All day today, I have received messages from concerned people telling me about the looting going on in western North Carolina, and it is. Messages about interference from FEMA, which is absolutely happening. And messages telling me that they were praying for our convoy to arrive safely. I am happy to report that all of it has reached its destination, unharmed, and is being right now unloaded on the ground in Asheville. Friday morning, a convoy of relief trucks leave Grace Baptist Church in Kentucky on their way to Bible Baptist and the people of Asheville, North Carolina

All week long, NTEB’er Charlton Head has spent all day every day checking off the check list of things needed to get done for tomorrow’s run up to Asheville. First stop was Johnson City, Tennessee, to the Appalachian Bible and Tract ministry for 500 Reina-Valeria Gomez Spanish Bibles and scripture portions, then drive to Ekron, Kentucky to meet up with the men at Grace Baptist Church. Once there, thousands of dollars of King James Bibles, assorted hygiene products, diapers, clothes, non-perishable food stuffs, buckets, shovels and about 20 pallets of large water bottles were purchased and loaded onto multiple trucks. Charlton and the men spent all day doing this today, and now it’s complete. Tomorrow morning at first light, they ride…TO THE FIGHT!!!

Pastor Andrew Tucker at Grace Baptist Church is the point man for this operation, our second one in as many weeks, and he has put together a genuine ‘tribulation force’ of machines, materials and men who are motivated to do all this. None of this would be happening without his faithfulness to the Lord Jesus. In the midst of it all, you will find NTEB’er Charlie On The Hwy, Charlton, and each and every one of you who are praying for this relief effort, and who are contributing financially to make it all possible. Literally hundreds of NTEB’ers are contributing, and I thank you all so very much. The people in Asheville who will be receiving all this thank you, too.

It takes a lot of strong, mature Christians to do something like this, it takes a lot of money to pay for it all, put those two things together at the same time and you can move mountains for the Lord. Please pray for the convoy tomorrow, 5 truckloads of supplies and men behind the wheels will be headed to Asheville, and they very much need the tender mercies of the Lord to arrive, intact, to their destination. Once there, all these things will be delivered to Pastor Andrew Sluder at Bible Baptist Church, where anyone in the town who needs food, water, clothing, diapers, personal items or God’s preserved word in English or Spanish can simply drive up, roll down their window, and be handed whatever they need, for free. This is what your donations are purchasing – trucks, water, food, clothing, diapers, personal hygiene supplies, and most of all, 1,000 Bibles and scripture portions for the people in Asheville.

In preparation for our multi-truck convoy to Asheville, North Carolina, this Friday leaving from Grace Baptist Church in Kentucky, we went first to our friends over in Johnson City, Tennessee, to pick up a trailer load of Reina-Valera Gomez Bibles and Spanish scripture portions. NTEB’er Charlton Head, you know him in the chat room as Charlie On The Hwy, stopped at Appalachian Bible and Tract Center to meet with Lacy Wheeler. These 500 RVG Bibles and cases of John/Romans scripture portions in Spanish will join 500 King James Bibles in Kentucky, and loaded onto trailers with the water, food, clothing and diapers for Asheville.

Charlton is a professional truck driver who wanted very much to contribute to the work the Lord has us doing in Asheville, and isn’t that just like the Lord to put him in the game just when we had a great need for a driver to get those Bibles from Tennessee? This Friday, 5 truckloads of desperately needed supplies will leave Grace Baptist Church in Kentucky under the watchful eye of Pastor Andrew Tucker, destined for Pastor Sluder at Bible Baptist Church in Asheville. They are using the church there as a distribution center open to all residents of Asheville, and an average of 200 cars per day are driving in to get what they need. This is what your donations are purchasing – trucks filled with water, food, clothing, diapers, personal hygiene supplies, and most of all, 1,000 Bibles and scripture portions.
