God has given us an amazing open door with the Free Bible and Gospel Tracts Program and Bibles Behind Bars, meeting the spiritual needs of saints and sinners around the world.

This week we have had a beautiful assortment of requests for King James Bibles, New Testaments, scripture portions and gospel tracts from a very diverse section of humanity. There was the Maury Correctional Facility in Hookerton, North Carolina who needed Bibles and copies of “What Must I Do To Be Saved?”, and we set them up. Then there was the Amazing Grace Bible Baptist Church in the Philippines who needed Ruckman Reference Bibles for their Bible Institute graduating class, and those went out. The Solomon’s Porch Men’s Ministry at The Shepherd’s Church in Cary, North Carolina needed lots of Bibles for their annual outreach to the unsaved, and we handled that request as well.

In addition to that, we send out daily Ruckman Reference Bibles to individuals around the world who write in to us requesting a study Bible, but are not able to afford one. There is hardly ever a day when we do not get requests, large and small, for desperately needed Bibles and Bible literature. To date, we have handed out over 400,000 items, to some of the most-neglected and forgotten-about regions in America, and around the world. How is all this possible? Glad you asked!

This 1,500 bed correctional facility in North Carolina has an immediate need for King James Bibles, and Bibles Behind Bars is there to help them

Maury Correctional Institution is a close and medium security prison for adult males near Hookerton. Opened in April 2006, Maury became the fourth of six 1,000-bed facilities. A 504-bed medium-custody unit was added after the initial prison opened. Earlier this week, Chaplain Hackett who ministers there reached out via email to tell us of their urgent need for Bibles.

“And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Matthew 25:40 (KJB)

Chaplain Hackett wrote and told us “Our facility houses approximately 1,500 offenders. We have a 30% turnover (transfers or and releases). We are requesting 100 Bibles to assist with this turnover.” We are also sending them 30 copies of “What Must I Do To Be Saved?” to assist them in their soul winning efforts. The Bibles Behind Bars family of chaplains, pastors and personal workers continues to grow at an astonishing rate, with nearly 500 inmates so far that we know of having heard and believed the gospel!

Christian, we live in a rapidly-darkening world, one that cares little about the forgotten men and women locked up behind bars. But the LORD cares about them, and He uses people like me and you to reach out and give them His preserved word. The NTEB Free Bible Program is now partnering with the Woman’s Resource Center in Palatka to help save the lives of unborn babies and give their parents King James Bibles

We were visited a few weeks ago by people from the Women’s Resource Center here in Palatka, welcoming us to the neighborhood and praying for the Lord to bless us in our new Bookstore location. They told us about the incredibly important work that is done there, mainly that of saving babies from abortion while providing critical support to the mothers, and fathers, before, during and after their pregnancies. Almost immediately, the Holy Spirit tapped me and told us to be a blessing to them. Today we delivered to their facility the first of many boxes of King James Bibles, gospel tracts, scripture portions, and a bunch of beautiful gift Bibles for new moms and their babies.

“Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.” Matthew 18:14 (KJB)

The Women’s Resource Center works to take care of as many needs of the expecting mothers as they possibly can, including partnering with local churches to give them the gospel and provide a strong spiritual support system. Executive Director Betty McLane gave us a tour of their wonderful facility, and we were thrilled to find out they stand on the King James Bible as well. Lori and I told Betty that NTEB is happy to be a partner with them in the work that God has called them to do, and as needs arise, whatever we can do to assist them we will happily do. Don’t you just love watching God continuing to open up these incredible doors of ministry? It never ceases to amaze me.
