This article will shock and sadden some of you, who have believed that Bono of U2 fame is a Christian.

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13-14 (KJV)

This article will show you that not only is Bono not a Christian, but he is from the dark side.

When I was drawn by the Lord in 1983, it was a powerful and supernatural event. I had searched for the truth about God for most of my life. On that unforgettable night, He opened my eyes and my heart, and I remember saying to the person sharing Salvation with me “This is it!! It’s so clear to me now!”

I am not saying that we all have to have a dramatic, two feet off the floor experience. But I do believe that it should be a memorable time when a person finally realized that they are a wretched sinner – unable to save themselves, and that God is HOLY and HE does the saving.

Another thing I remember is that I could not get enough of His Word. I would forget to eat food because I was immersed in His Word, and could hardly break away from it. I was told to start with the Gospel of John and I did. Then I went through all four Gospels. His Holy Word became the most important thing in my life.

Bono of US is not everything he seems to be, or maybe he really is. So how did he come to be so connected with the Emergent Church?

I also had an immediate aversion to things that I had liked. I knew that He did not want me watching Soap Operas any longer. No one told me that except the Holy Spirit. I could not watch stand up comedians on HBO who were vulgar. It made me feel dirty, and I had never before given it a thought.

I knew that when I went to church, I should be hearing about sin and repentance. It was ALL about Jesus and Him crucified, and the Love that sent Him to that cross. I yearned to hear a preacher open up the Word to me in a deeper way. The couple who had led me to the Lord were charismatics, so I went to my first church with them.

I was brand new in Christ, but I still knew that the sermons I was hearing were leaving me empty. One Sunday night I saw Charles Stanley preaching on TV, and I considered him a gift from Jesus to me at that time of my walk with Him. When he preached, he backed everything up with Scripture. He spoke of sin and repenting and growing in Christ. I considered him to be my pastor in those early years.

I wonder about the walk of those with itchy ears; what went wrong in their walk, that they would be this deceived?

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables..” 2 Timothy 4:3-4 (KJV)

As I look around today, I see this passage of Scripture so clearly coming to pass. Perhaps there have always been many with itching ears, but I think that it is much worse in these last days. Were these people truly saved? How could they be so deceived? Did they attempt to come to God via the well traveled and very wide gate that God warns us to avoid? How can someone who has the Holy Spirit living within them, want their ears to be tickled with heresies? It makes no sense.

THE EMERGING CHURCH LIES

Rob Bell and Brian McLaren are two of the most well known leaders of the Emerging Church. Both men believe that there is no literal hell, and they teach this heresy to their people. Rob Bell, who wrote “Love Wins” preaches only about the love and mercy of our God. He is NOT preaching from the whole Word, because if he was, he would also preach on sin, the holiness of God, and repentance.

To truly lead a person to Christ, that person must agree with God that he/she is a sinner, in dire need of a Savior. They must understand that NOTHING they do will get them into heaven. Salvation is the work of God. He sent His one and only Son to die on that horrid Cross, to pay the penalty for sin for all people. BUT…..a person must receive His gift to be saved.

Bono is Loved by Emerging Church leaders

The book’s characters are demons, and MacPhisto is a demon who works hard at communicating with baby Christians to get them away from God!

“But U2 is much more than a popular rock band. U2 has a great influence in the emerging church and the contemporary worship movement. U2’s lead singer Bono is praised almost universally among contemporary and emerging Christians. Phil Johnson observes that “Bono seems to be the chief theologian of the Emerging Church Movement” (Absolutely Not! Exposing the Post-modern Errors of the Emerging Church, p. 9).

“Bono played a far more significant role on the formative years on those who became emergent than anyone else, from a human standpoint. Bono, in the 1980s, was, if not worshipped, then absolutely adored by millions of Christian youth who were hanging on his every word. They saw his cool kind of Christianity. He helped lead people into what eventually became the emerging church. Bono has led people into a version of Christianity that is so slippery, so undefinable, so liberal, yet he is considered the main icon of the emerging church” (Joseph Schimmel, The Submerging Church, DVD, 2012).” [1] – source

What has been said about Bono from Emerging Church leaders:

Eugene Peterson, author of The Message, says U2 has a prophetic voice to the world and says Bono is a prophet like John the Baptist (foreword to Get Up Off Your Knees: Preaching the U2 Catalog).
Brian Walsh believes that U2’s lyrics should be used for seminary training and as commentaries alongside the Bible, and that U2’s concerts should be studied to see “how worship really happens in a postmodern world” (Get Up Off Your Knees).
Mark Mulder has taught a U2 course at Calvin College and he observes that the school shares Bono’s view that the world will not be destroyed but will be renewed (“Calvin College on U2,” Christianity Today, Feb. 2005).
Brian McLaren and Tony Campolo say that Bono is moving the world toward the kingdom of God and increasing the kingdom of God in the here and now (McLaren and Campolo, Adventures in Missing the Point, 2003, pp. 50, 51).
Bill Hybels interviewed Bono at Willowcreek Community Church’s Leadership Summit in 2006 and that interview has been shown in thousands of churches all over the world.
Rick Warren invited Bono to Saddleback Church to help launch his P.E.A.C.E. program.
Rob Bell testifies that the first time he really experienced God was at a U2 concert (Velvet Elvis: Repainting the Christian Faith, p. 72).
Emerging leader Steven Taylor calls Bono “a worship leader” and on his blog promotes “Seven Things I Learned from Bono about Worship Leading.”
Christianity Today almost worships U2. When Episcopalian ministers Raewynne Whiteley and Beth Maynard published “Get Up Off Your Knees: Preaching the U2 Catalog,” Christianity Today responded with a review entitled “The Legend of Bono Vox: Lessons Learned in the Church of U2.” [2] – source

U2’s Christianity

The members of U2 do not support any specific church or denomination. Very rarely do they attend church at all. But one church that Bono will attend from time to time is Glide Memorial United Methodist Church located in San Francisco. Bono attended a special service back in 1992, to honor Bill Clinton’s presidential election.

“Speaking at a meeting connected with the 1972 United Methodist Church Quadrennial Conference, Cecil Williams, pastor of the Glide Memorial Methodist Church, said, “I don’t want to go to no heaven … I don’t believe in that stuff. I think it’s a lot of – – – – [vulgarity].” A Jewish rabbi is on William’s staff. Williams was the Grand Marshall of the San Francisco Gay Pride parade and the chairman of his board was a homosexual. He has been “marrying” homosexuals since 1965 and says, “I have not married a single couple at Glide who weren’t already living together” (Williams, speaking at the Centenary United Methodist Church, St. Louis, quoted in Blu-Print, April 25, 1972). Long ago William’s church replaced the choir with a rock band, and its “celebrations” have included immoral dancing and even complete nudity. After attending a service at Glide Memorial, a newspaper editor wrote, “The service, in my opinion, was an insult to every Christian attending and was the most disgusting display of vulgarity and sensuousness I have ever seen anywhere.” [2] – source

Bono believes that heaven and hell are here and now. He does not believe in a literal hell as is described in the Word of God.

The members of U2 do not believe Christianity should have rules and regulations. “I’m really interested in and influenced by the spiritual side of Christianity, rather than the legislative side, the rules and regulations” (Edge, U2: The Rolling Stone Files, p. 21).

Hell is Real, and it’s not this side of Eternity

“The punishment of the wicked in hell is as never ending as the bliss of the righteous in heaven. Jesus Himself indicates that punishment in hell is just as everlasting as life in heaven (Matthew 25:46). The wicked are forever subject to the fury and the wrath of God. Those in hell will acknowledge the perfect justice of God (Psalm 76:10). Those who are in hell will know that their punishment is just and that they alone are to blame (Deuteronomy 32:3-5). Yes, hell is real. Yes, hell is a place of torment and punishment that lasts forever and ever, with no end. Praise God that, through Jesus, we can escape this eternal fate (John 3:16, 18, 36).” [3] – source

Are those in the Emerging Churches saved but extremely shallow and immature? Or is it possible that they never were saved in the first place? I can’t make that call, but it distresses me greatly to watch people who name the name of Jesus as their Savior, following after false teachers who preach a different gospel.

I do know that the false teachers will be judged harshly.

James 3:1 clearly states it:

“My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.”

When I speak truth about false teachers to their followers, I am attacked and accused of judging. We will go in circles about this, but it always comes back to being told that I am a judgmental and mean spirited person. I always show them the scriptures which clearly condemn the heresies, but they will not look at God’s Word; or if they do look, they take it completely out of context. Sometimes I feel like ignoring these types, but then I remember that the Lord wants us to always speak truth.

I do hope that this article has provided enough evidence as to why the Emerging Church leaders consider Bono to be their Icon. The itching ear crowd has brought to themselves teachers who feed their carnal needs — and have rejected the Word of God.

The Roman Catholic practice of Good Friday evolved slowly in the 4th century until becoming codified at the Quinisext Council in 692 AD

The Roman Catholic Church likes to pretend that the things they do are the things that they’ve always done, and that is far from the truth. For example, worshipping of Mary was something that developed gradually over time and was not codified until 1854 when Pope Pius IX issued his Ineffabilis Deus. Yet the Vatican likes to make you think it was always that way, and that all the apostles did that, and that is a lie. Another good lie is ‘Good Friday’, much older than Mary worship but still as recent as 692.

“They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.” 1 John 2:19 (KJB)

Look at the photo at the top of this article, this is what a Good Friday holy day looks like in Europe, this was filmed in Spain. Terrifying, isn’t it? Now you know where the Spanish Inquisition came from. Those of you who know me know that for 30 years before I got saved, I was a Roman Catholic trained in Jesuit schools, and trained as an altar boy in the dark mystery of Mass. I speak not as an outsider, but as one trained at the highest levels of Roman Catholicism.

The practice of Good Friday observance traces back to ancient times, with some customs documented as early as the 4th century by Egeria. Its evolution into a day of penance and fasting commemorates Christ’s death, with the name “Good Friday” possibly originating from “God’s Friday.” The veneration of the cross likely began in Jerusalem between the 7th and 8th centuries, with references to pre-sanctified Masses dating back to the Quinisext Council in AD 692. source

Paula White has arrived at the moment she has always longed for, nearly unlimited wealth and power through her association with the most politically-powerful man on earth, President Donald Trump. As a self-proclaimed and self-anointed ‘apostle’, Paula White is the living, breathing embodiment of the type of false and deceitful workers the apostle Paul warns us about. Speaking of President Trump, White says “There will be some people that absolutely believe that he is chosen and he is anointed”. On our Podcast on Monday talking about Real ID and the Mark of the Beast, I said the exact same thing, but for a much different reason. What Apostle Paula doesn’t know or understand, is that God can sometimes anoint people as He does in the Bible to carry out some very scary stuff. For example, Ezekiel 28 shows us Lucifer as the anointed of God, and Isaiah 10 shows us him being used of God as Antichrist. King Saul was a terrible king over Israel, yet he was anointed of God for that role. I believe that, according to Daniel 2, God did indeed raise up Donald Trump to be the ruler of the most powerful nation on Earth. I also believe Trump is in this position to advance the end times timeline and, unwittingly to himself, carry out the judgment of God on America and on the world.

Apostle Paula White feels right at home in Trump White House

FROM THE WALL STREET JOURNAL: In March, six weeks after President Trump appointed her to lead his White House Faith Office and set her up with an office in the West Wing, evangelical Christian leader Paula White preached in a YouTube sermon that the Passover-to-Easter period provided the faithful with an opportunity to receive “seven supernatural blessings.”

“God will assign an angel to you,” she said. “He’ll be an enemy to your enemies. He’ll give you prosperity.” Citing a verse from Exodus, she added that God also had decreed that “none shall appear before me empty-handed.”

The video then pivoted into fundraising mode, outlining a series of gifts for honoring God and supporting her ministry, culminating in a Waterford crystal cross for a “Passover/Easter resurrection offering of $1,000 or more.” Next came footage of Trump in the Oval Office lauding White’s ministry and political work. “You have helped us so much in so many different ways,” Trump said.

Over a four-decade career as a preacher and televangelist, the 58-year-old White has become both enormously influential and controversial in the evangelical world. Her 24-year friendship with Trump, which she said began when he called her after seeing her preach on a Florida TV station, has culminated in a role that combines religion and politics in ways that have little precedent in modern White House history.

In addition to advising the White House office set up to empower faith groups, White has repeatedly been photographed leading prayer sessions in which she and others—heads bowed and eyes closed—lay their hands on the president, including in the Oval Office.

While working for the White House, White has continued to raise money for her ministry, as well as for StoryLife, the church she helps lead in Apopka, Fla., at times incorporating into her pitches images of Trump or references to her work with the president. That troubles some government ethics experts.

“This is the use of a public office for private gain,” said University of Minnesota law professor Richard Painter, the chief ethics lawyer to then-President George W. Bush and a frequent critic of Trump administration ethics. “You cannot use the presidency or any other public office to raise money for private organizations. No private organization should be doing this.

In recent sermons, she has urged followers to send her $133, reflecting the Bible verse Proverbs 1:33. A gift of $414, reflecting a verse from the book of Esther, brings a book set and an engraved crystal paperweight. “If you hold back now…God can’t use you. He doesn’t use spectators. He uses participators,” she said.

In a recent fundraising appeal, White said: “You don’t do this to get something, but you’re doing it in honor to God, realizing what you can receive.” READ MORE

The weeklong passion of Jesus and the Easter Holy Week of the Roman Catholic Church have very little in common if truth and accuracy are of any value to you

For starters, we call it Passion Week because ‘passion’ is the term the Bible gives the events that took placed during that time, and it lasted from Sunday to Sunday. The Roman Catholic Church calls it ‘Holy Week’, sounds about the same, right? It does, until you come to realization that the path the Roman Church takes you down is not the path that Jesus walked.

“To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:” Acts 1:3 (KJB)

The apologist site Catholic Answers says this about ‘holy week’: “Holy Week is the most sacred seven days each year in the Catholic Church. It encompasses the crescendo of Lent, the sorrow of Good Friday, and the joy of the Easter Vigil which commences the celebration of Easter Sunday. There are many other rich traditions and key events during the week, from Jesus’s institution of the Eucharist at the Last Supper on Holy Thursday to the solemn events of Good Friday, including the Stations of the Cross.” source

The Passion Week Of Jesus

SUNDAY: “And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.” Matthew 21:9 (KJB) Here we have the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy from places like Zechariah 9:9 (KJB) showing you what will turn out to be, one day, the Second Advent of Jesus Christ where the literal, physical and literal Kingdom of Heaven will be established on this earth. Jesus the King of the Kingdom of Heaven, riding on the ass, and Jesus King of the Kingdom of God, made possible by His death on the cross. The so-called ‘Palm Sunday’ is actually a presentation of the entire Bible. From here Jesus goes to the Temple and flips over the tables of the moneychangers, and heals the blind and the lame. All this happens on that Sunday.
MONDAY: “Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.” Matthew 21:18 (KJB) All day Monday, Jesus preaches and teaches the people, prophesying what is about to befall the Jews and the nation of Israel. On Sunday He was presented as a King, here on Monday He is presented as a Prophet. “But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.” Matthew 21:46 (KJB) When Jesus goes to the cross two days from now, He will be presented as a Priest. “Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.” Matthew 26:2 (KJB)
TUESDAY: “Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat. For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.” Matthew 26:6,7,12 (KJB) Mary of Bethany, sister to Martha and that Lazarus Jesus raised from the dead, is seen here anointing the body of Jesus in anticipation of His death and burial. The devil Judas hates it and tries to stop her from doing it, but to no avail. Now everything is in place for the last supper the disciples will have with the Lord in the upper room.
WEDNESDAY: “Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?” Matthew 26:17 (KJB) The number one thing you must keep in mind is that the Jewish day starts at sundown. When does the Jewish ‘Saturday sabbath’ begin? It starts at sundown on Friday evening. So when Jesus and the disciples are in the upper room at night, it is the beginning of the day not the end of it. It is in this 12-hour period on Wednesday (at night on our Tuesday), that the events of the last supper, betrayal and arrest of Jesus will take place. When the sun comes up, it is still the same day, on the Hebrew calendar, that started the previous evening. It is here on Wednesday morning at around 9 AM, that Jesus will be crucified. He will be dead by approximately 3 PM later that same day.
THURSDAY – DAY ONE: “The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.” John 19:31 (KJB) This is DAY ONE of the 3 days and 3 nights that the body of Jesus will be in the grave. It is also a special High Sabbath, not to be confused with the upcoming regular Saturday sabbath.
FRIDAY – DAY TWO: “And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.” Mark 16:1 (KJB) The women come and anoint the body of Jesus after the High Sabbath and before the Saturday sabbath. This is DAY TWO of the 3 days and 3 nights the body of Jesus will be in the grave.
SATURDAY – DAY THREE: “And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.” Luke 23:56 (KJB) As we said before, this anointing of the body takes place between two different sabbath days. This is DAY THREE of the 3 days and 3 nights the body of Jesus will be in the grave. You will note that three consecutive 24-hour days, as a day is defined in Genesis 1, have now taken place. You will further note that this is only possible by starting our clock on Wednesday and not “good” Friday, which is not possible.
SUNDAY: “In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” Matthew 28:1-6 (KJB) Remember how we showed you that the Jewish day on the Hebrew calendar begins at sundown? Ok, so the Saturday sabbath that began Sunday on Friday is now coming to an end at sundown on Saturday. Sunday is starting, and it is here, sometime between now and the sunrise of the next day, that Jesus will have risen from the dead. The Bible says that as the sun was coming up, Jesus was already up. This is not Easter, this is the biblical resurrection day of the ever-living God, Jesus the Christ.
