The Israel Defense Forces said the vast majority of the projectiles fired from Gaza were launched by Hamas, which rules Gaza, and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the second most powerful terror group in the Strip. A smaller number of rockets were fired by other groups in Gaza.

As you read this, the fighting in the Gaza Strip has elevated to such a level that, if nothing changes over the next 72 hours, all out war will be impossible to avoid. Usually Hamas rockets fall in open fields, every once in awhile they hit a building, but not this time. 4 Israelis lay dead at this very moment after a barrage of over 600 rockets have been fired by Hamas in Gaza. But as you are about to see, it is not only Hamas causing the problem. It’s Iran.

Terror state Iran finances and backs a group called the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and that is who is behind this latest outburst. After the IDF took out a high-level Hamas leader, they asked for a cease-fire. But Palestinian Islamic Jihad said nothing doing. Top IDF commanders think that Iran wants Israel to go to war with Hamas over the Gaza Strip, and when they do, Iran will strike. That’s the current thinking at this moment in the Knesset, and it is highly likely that thinking is correct.

Hamas said seeking ceasefire; Palestinian Islamic Jihad warns of all-out war

FROM TIMES OF ISRAEL: Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he ordered the military to continue “massive strikes” against Hamas, which Israel holds responsible for all attacks coming from Gaza. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group on Sunday said that it was preparing to intensify its attacks and threatened the increased violence could lead to an all-out war between Israel and the Gaza Strip.

“The resistance is about to go to a higher level in facing the aggression; a level that could lead to a war,” Palestinian Islamic Jihad spokesperson Mosab Al Braim told the Hamas-affiliated al-Risalah newspaper. Braim warned that the escalation will “hurt the enemy just like it is hurting our people.”

In the rocket attacks on southern Israel on Sunday, an Israeli man was fatally wounded when an anti-tank guided missile slammed into his car as he was driving along the Route 34 highway near the community of Kibbutz Erez, just north of the Gaza border. Hamas claimed responsibility for that attack.

Another Israeli man — Moshe Agadi, 58 — was killed early Sunday when a rocket hit his home in the southern city of Ashkelon, and another 22-year-old Israeli man died of injuries after a rocket blasted into a factory in the city.

From Saturday, some 600 rockets and mortar shells were fired from Gaza at Israel, with about two-thirds of the projectiles striking empty fields, according to the IDF. Over 150 projectiles that were heading toward populated areas were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system, the army said. Some of longer-range rockets were also fired toward central Israel.

Israel responded by hitting over 260 Gaza targets including those of Hamas, PIJ, and other terror groups. As of Sunday afternoon, at least 14 Palestinians — most of them members of terror groups — were killed in Israeli airstrikes, according to the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry. In addition, at least 80 people were said to have been injured to varying degrees.

One of the Israeli strikes targeted the car of Hamed Hamdan al-Khodari, who was said to be a Hamas field commander connected to the terror group’s leader Yahya Sinwar.

According to the IDF, al-Khodari owned a number of money exchanges in the Gaza Strip and used them to bring large amounts of Iranian cash into the coastal enclave for Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and other terror groups.

It was hours after the strike on al-Khodari that Hamas indicated it wanted a ceasefire, the senior Israeli sources claimed. The army also targeted dozens of sites connected to terrorist organizations throughout the Strip, including the homes of many terrorist leaders that the military said were used as weapons caches.

In light of the ongoing violence, the Israeli military on Sunday sent an additional tank brigade to the Gaza border and prepared for fighting in the coming days.

The PIJ has said it will disrupt the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest, due to take place in Tel Aviv May 14-18, and released a video threatening the Dimona nuclear facility, Ben Gurion Airport and other sensitive sites in Israel.

Islamic Jihad, unlike Hamas, is a completely owned and operated Iranian subsidiary, Amidror said. “It was established by Iran, financed by Iran, and does what Iran wants it to do.” Iran’s interest, Amidror said, is for Israel to embark on another major operation in Gaza, freeing up Tehran to do what it wants unhindered in Syria. The Iranian idea, he said, is that “Israel will be busy focusing on Gaza and not have enough energy to deal with the building up of an independent war machine in Syria.” source

The exchange of fire followed several weeks of relative calm between Israel and Gaza amid an unofficial armistice, which appeared to be breaking down as terrorists in the Strip stepped up their violent activities along the border in the days preceding the outbreak of fighting. Gaza terror groups said their actions were retaliation for Israel not abiding by the ceasefire agreement by halting the transfer of Qatari money into Gaza — a charge Jerusalem denied, blaming the delay on Qatar and the United Nations.

Efforts by the United Nations and Egypt to broker a ceasefire between Israel and terror groups in the Strip yielded no concrete results as of Sunday afternoon, as neither side appeared interested in returning to the conditions laid out before the outbreak of violence.

Israel-Gaza Clashes Escalate Dramatically After 500 Rockets

Israel’s Defense Forces (IDF) on Sunday continued to strike Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets in Gaza in response to more than 600 rockets fired at Israel since Saturday morning.  Four Israelis were killed by rocket strikes. Retaliatory strikes in Gaza killed 21 Palestinians including two pregnant women, two babies, and two children, according to Gaza’s ministry of health. An additional 146 Palestinians have been injured.

The East Plano Islamic Center in north Texas wants to create an exclusive Muslim enclave called ‘Epic City’ on 400 acre tract of unincorporated land in Collin County

There are dumb ideas, bad ideas, and ideas so incomprehensible they beggar description, Epic City is one of those ideas that ought never to come to pass. Now we know that not all Muslims are terrorists, but ten percent of them are. We know that there are many fine, upstanding and patriotic Muslim Americans who love this country and would fight to defend it. We also know that we live in the age of global Islamic terrorism, and building a all-Muslim supercity in the beating heart of Texas is an idea that should be shot down the first time it’s brought to light.

“And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.” Genesis 16:12 (KJB)

Residents in Collin County, Texas, spent over half the day debating the merits of the proposed and so-called Epic City, and as much as I would like to think the idea was roundly rejected, I don’t think it was. Ever see those videos where hundreds of rug-carrying Muslims have descended on a busy downtown street, and with police protection, they are somehow allowed to stop all traffic while they pray to their god? Ever ask yourself how could that happen, and could that happen in my town? The answer is simple. America is a nation built on Christian principles, and while we have freedom of religion which is a good thing, a 400 acre Muslim Epic City is not. To quote DL Moody, “no, NO, a thousand times no!” to the plans for Epic City. Epic City would become it’s own town, and would govern itself according to Sharia Law. Remember the Alamo, that’s the memo.

Community divided over proposed Muslim-focused EPIC City in Collin County amid state investigations

FROM CBS NEWS TEXAS: Dozens of North Texas residents are speaking out about a proposed community catering to Muslims in an unincorporated part of Collin County near Josephine after several state investigations were recently launched into the project and the mosque it is tied to – The East Plano Islamic Center.

A four-and-a-half-hour meeting at Collin County Commissioner Court Monday gave residents their first chance to share their comments on EPIC City, the proposed Muslim-focused community that includes a thousand homes, a mosque, a community college and more spanning 400 acres about 40 miles northeast of Dallas.

“We all want safe, inclusive communities that require transparency, accountability, and respect for the rule of law. EPIC City fails on all three,” one speaker said.

“To allow a new group to claim and execute a 400-acre segregated city is the height of insanity,” another speaker said.

“These individuals deserve treatment and real representation. We must advocate for an inclusive Texas,” said Collin County resident, Dylan Evans, supporting the project.

Monday’s meeting comes after the state launched five investigations into EPIC City, as well as East Plano Islamic Center and investment group Community Capital Partners, which is heading the project.

Attorney General Ken Paxton is investigating CCP for potential consumer protection violations. In a news release, Paxton said the development raised several concerns.

“Under my watch, there will be zero tolerance for any person or entity that breaks Texas law,” Paxton said.

On Monday, Gov. Greg Abbott announced the latest investigation into EPIC City, saying in a statement he has directed the Texas Rangers to investigate EPIC and any affiliated entities for “potential criminal activities.”

“I think this is just adding more fuel to the fire. And, you know, I’m not happy about that,” said Texas State Rep. Salman Bhojani, D-District 92.

Bhojani is the first Muslim elected official in Texas history and said the attack on the project is a violation of religious freedom.

“I’m here to fight for every Texan’s right to religious freedom,” Bhojani said. “I’m also a real estate attorney. I know a lot of developments in North Texas that exactly mimic [EPIC City]. So, there’s nothing illegal about that. This is something that we should be protecting in the state of Texas, not demonizing it. Also, I think this is going to really increase the property value around Josephine.”

EPIC public relations representative Erin Ragsdale told county leaders that the plan is open to everyone and will comply with local, state, and federal laws.

“The idea for EPIC City came from the idea of building a master plan neighborhood that would be for all generations,” Ragsdale said. “Their vision is to build an inclusive community for everyone. I don’t think that we would be here today at this early stage if there were plans to float around for a master-planned community with a place of worship that was Christian.”

Commissioners shared their concerns in lieu of the active investigations, making the future of the project even more uncertain.

“This is not building a place of worship or attending a place of worship, it’s about the vision of building a housing development that would limit access and control housing opportunities,” said Collin County Judge Chris Hill. READ MORE

OPERATION BARBAROSSA II? For The First Time Since WWII, Germany Launches A Permanent Deployment Of Troops In Eastern Lithuania On The Russian Border

Germany has launched its first deployment abroad since World War II, saying troops will be sent to eastern Lithuania on Russian border, which is NATO’s eastern flank.

We have been telling you for some time now that World War 3 is coming at us rapidly, and that when it does, Germany will once again be front and center just as they were in the previous two wars. Since then, we have watched Germany begin to rearm themselves to an astonishing degree, something they have not done since WWII, and now we are watching them deploy a permanent troop presence on foreign soil, also something we have not seen since WWII. That deployment just happens to be in eastern Lithuania on the Russian border, what an amazing coincidence.

Operation Barbarossa was the code name for Nazi Germany’s invasion of the Soviet Union, launched on June 22, 1941, aiming to conquer the western Soviet Union and establish German dominance in Eastern Europe. Operation Barbarossa was a spectacular failure and sounded the death knell for Nazi power and control in Europe, representing ‘strike 2’ in Germany’s plan to control the continent, WWI being the first strike. Jesus tells us in Matthew 24 that the beginning of sorrows will include wars and rumours of wars, and that is exactly what we are watching right now. WW3 here we come, and that’s the memo.

Germany launches first permanent foreign deployment since WWII – and it’s on Putin’s doorstep

FROM THE MIRROR UK: Brigadier General Christoph Huber, commander of the brigade, explained: “We have a clear mission. We have to ensure the protection, freedom and security of our Lithuanian allies here on NATO’s eastern flank.” The unit is to be fully operational by 2027. It will be the first time German troops have been serving abroad permanently since the Second World War.

The newly created 45th Armored Brigade will contain 5,000 servicemen and women and be stationed in the east of the country. The brigade was activated during a ceremony outside the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius. A temporary headquarters has been established, and the unit is under the command of Brigadier General Huber. The official headquarters in Rūdninkai is expected to be up and running by 2027.

Germany officially launched its first permanent foreign troop deployment since World War II  on Tuesday — a 5,000-strong armored brigade in Lithuania — as Berlin moves to bolster NATO’s eastern flank in response to Russia’s war against Ukraine. The newly created 45th Armored Brigade was formally activated during a ceremony outside Vilnius.

The brigade is made up of frontline infantry, and support units – including a medical centre, signal company and command support teams.

Plans for the deployment were initially reported back in 2023. It was a major break from Germany’s defence policy, which has prevented the permanent deployment of troops abroad since the end of WWII. READ MORE

German Army At Russia’s Doorstep; Lithuania To Host 4000 German Troops Soon

FROM 2024: Lithuania has initiated the construction of Germany’s first permanent overseas military base since World War II. The financial times reported that new German army barracks are being built near the Belarus border. The base is expected to house approximately four thousand Bundeswehr soldiers by 2027. This significant construction project is part of Germany’s strategic response to regional security issues. In 2025, those troops are arriving daily, with the transfer complete by 2027.

Trump thought he had formed an alliance with Russia to end the war in Ukraine, and Putin just showed him how very wrong he was.

I am a three-time Trump voter, but this time around I have been fairly hard on him for what, to me, seems to be an impetuous recklessness in his policy and decision-making choices. One thing that I absolutely did not like was the public dressing down of Zelensky at the White House in February while simultaneously taking Russia’s side and supporting Putin. It made Trump and Vance appear petty and vindictive, and at the time it happened, I told you Putin was smiling from ear to ear about it. Now the hastily-formed alliance between Trump and Putin has collapsed as we told you it would, and Trump is left with the proverbial egg on his face. Now what? That’s the memo.
