Jesus was born in Bethlehem Ephratah at the tower of the flock where the baby lambs were raised and inspected for sacrifice in the Temple, Migdal Eder

One of my favorite topics in Bible study is that of Migdal Eder, the tower of the flock where the actual birth of Jesus takes place. Yes, Jesus was born in Bethlehem, but in a specific area where the sheep tower was, in Ephratah. This is the place where Benjamin, a type of Christ, was born, and it’s also the place where King David, another type of Christ, was born. Migdal means ‘tower’ and eder means ‘flock’, put it all together and Migdal Eder is the precise and exact location where Mary gives birth to Jesus.

“And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.” Micah 4:8 (KJB)

On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we take our deepest dive ever on the occasionally controversial and oft overlooked subject of Migdal Eder, the literal and actual tower of the flock where the baby Jesus was born to Mary and Joseph. As it turns out, the amount of biblical evidence showing you the role of Migdal Eder is overwhelming, and is an easily-proved position. But as stunning as that is, it’s only the beginning of the nuggets that await our searching them out. Benjamin was born at Migdal Eder, David was born at Migdal Eder, and the throne on which King Jesus will sit in the Millennium is anchored there. But it gets wilder than that. Remember the Angel of the Lord that appears to the shepherds to announce the birth of Jesus at Migdal Eder? That Angel is none other than Jesus Himself, announcing His own birth! Too wild, you say? The Minor Prophets, also known as ‘The Twelve’, deliver a mighty end times punch in bringing you the info on how the time of Jacob’s trouble and the great Tribulation will play out

The Old Testament stands on 3 major pillars – the Law, the Writings, and the Prophets, something that is definitely defined by Jesus Himself in the New Testament. Genesis to Deuteronomy gives us the Law of Moses, the writings which is primarily Psalms and Proverbs, and the Prophets which start with Isaiah, the biggest one of them all, and ends with Malachi. The ‘big three’ or Major Prophets are Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel, and ‘the Twelve’, or the 12 Minor Prophets, start with Hosea and ends with Malachi. They are called ‘minor prophets’ because of the shortness of their books, but make no mistake, when it comes to the end times, they pack a major wallop!

“And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.” Luke 24:44 (KJB)

On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we start with the prophet Hosea, and work our way down the line, in order, to read the writings of a fascinating group of men known as ‘The Twelve’. One main thing they all have in common is that they all prophesy concerning the end times of Jacob’s trouble, with a focus on the events of the great Tribulation. Jesus says in Hebrews “Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.”, and this is the sum and substance that make up the writings of these amazing Minor Prophets.

The Minor Prophets, also known as ‘The Twelve’, deliver a mighty end times punch in bringing you the info on how the time of Jacob’s trouble and the great Tribulation will play out

The Old Testament stands on 3 major pillars – the Law, the Writings, and the Prophets, something that is definitely defined by Jesus Himself in the New Testament. Genesis to Deuteronomy gives us the Law of Moses, the writings which is primarily Psalms and Proverbs, and the Prophets which start with Isaiah, the biggest one of them all, and ends with Malachi. The ‘big three’ or Major Prophets are Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel, and ‘the Twelve’, or the 12 Minor Prophets, start with Hosea and ends with Malachi. They are called ‘minor prophets’ because of the shortness of their books, but make no mistake, when it comes to the end times, they pack a major wallop!

“And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.” Luke 24:44 (KJB)

On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we start with the prophet Hosea, and work our way down the line, in order, to read the writings of a fascinating group of men known as ‘The Twelve’. One main thing they all have in common is that they all prophesy concerning the end times of Jacob’s trouble, with a focus on the events of the great Tribulation.
