Why I Am A King James Bible Only Christian Has Nothing To Do With The Greek, Hebrew, Or Any Other Movement, Group, Organization Or Individual

This is why I have been King James only for 30 years now, and why I will not ever, by God’s grace, move from that foundation at any point in the future.

Funny thing, though, whenever I picked up an NIV or some other modern translation, it didn’t speak to me, it felt like I was holding a balloon that was rapidly leaking air. I can’t explain that, I only know that’s what happened.

A few weeks ago, we opened up the NTEB Bible Believers Bookstore here in Saint Augustine, and the Lord is blessing us with favor in the community and online as sales remain encouraging and steady. But more than a few people who have visited the store have asked why we don’t sell any other bible or commentary other than the King James. The answer is really quite simple, and I would like to share my thoughts with you on that today.

“Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?” Ecclesiastes 8:4 (KJB)

I didn’t come to be a King James Only Christian because of any one charismatic bible preacher or teacher, and I was not introduced to the Independent Fundamental Baptist movement until years after I was saved. I became a King James Only Christian on March 14th, 1991, because I held that Book in my hands, read it, believed it, and got saved. That Book spoke to me, and God allowed me at once to see that it was the truth. Now, I didn’t know any Christians, no one ‘led me to the Lord’ other than the Holy Spirit, and I had never set foot inside a Christian Church. All I had was God, the King James Bible, and salvation. I was blissfully unaware that the ‘King James Only Controversy’ was even a thing.

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 (KJB)

After getting saved, things happened quickly. I soon found myself in a small, non-IFB Baptist Church, where the pastor was not King James only. But that made no mind to me because I had my bible and no one was going to talk me out of it. Funny thing, though, whenever I picked up an NIV or some other modern translation, it didn’t speak to me, it felt like I was holding a balloon that was rapidly leaking air. I can’t explain that, I only know that’s what happened.

I began to read Christian literature and biographies of great men that God used like DL Moody, Robert Sheffey and others, and what did I find? I found them all to be King James Bible people. I had little to no interest in most of the ones in the 20th century other than people like Clarence Larkin and Peter Ruckman, and when I got to that stage in my journey, it was there I was introduced to the raging battlefield that is the IFB Movement. But following sound advice to ‘eat the meat and spit out the bones’, I soon made substantial progress.

One thing that puzzled me was why nearly all of the ‘brain boys’, the Greek and Hebrew scholars, all seemed to be highly critical of the King James, and nearly all of them defaulted to versions like the NIV, ESV and others. Why would such smart people want a book that, to me, had no power? Good question, we’ll answer that in a bit. One day, I thought it would be fun to compare scripture in the King James with scripture in the NIV, and what I found shocked me.

Is it John or the Devil?

The dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.

I don’t know how to explain that, do you? And what you see there is only a few examples, there are hundreds and hundreds more. How could there be such a great discrepancy between the King James and the NIV? Was it done out of ignorance, was it intentional, what was behind it all? Those questions would be answered when I bought my first copy of ‘New Age Bible Versions’, and read the amazing, Holy Spirit-led research done by Gail Riplinger. Do you know the one thing that all bible versions over that past 410 years have in common? I bet you don’t. The one thing that all bible version from the King James on forward have in common is that they are all different. Common sense and logic would dictate that things that are different cannot be the same. So if they are all different, which one is the one where God has preserved His word? Since the word of God cannot contradict itself, can you show me where God has preserved His word? I can. Now look at the following verses from Psalm 12 in the King James and in the NIV. The King James gives you a promise that God will preserve His word on earth for all generations, and then the NIV swoops in and erases that promise! See for yourself.

  • GOD’S PROMISE TO PRESERVE HIS WORDS IN THE KJB: “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” Psalm 12:6,7 (KJB)
  • GOD’S PROMISE TO PRESERVE HIS WORDS REMOVED: “And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold[fn] refined seven times. You, LORD, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked,” Psalm 12: 6,7 (NIV)

If you’re a bible believing Christian who loves the Book, that one example alone should make you fighting mad, does it?? The King James in verse 7 gives you God’s absolute, rock-solid promise to preserve His words throughout every generation, that’s a huge promise! What does the NIV do? It erases it and substitutes it with meaningless nonsense that has nothing to do with preservation of scripture at all. Verse 7 in the NIV is not anything at all like verse 7 in the King James. I’m from New Jersey, we call this a scam, the old ‘bait-and-switch’. Verse 7 in the King James is talking about the preservation of words, verse 7 in the NIV is talking about the preservation of people. Not even remotely close on any level.

This is why I have been King James only for 30 years now, and why I will not ever, by God’s grace, move from that foundation at any point in the future. I hope you have enjoyed this snapshot of my faith in the King James Bible, and who knows, maybe this will become an ongoing series. But let me challenge you today to pick one modern bible where you think God has preserved His words, there can be only one, and defend your choice by comparing it to the King James. If you do it honestly and before the Lord, you will come to the exact same conclusion that I came to.

Maria’s Hope Takes Root In Kenya As Operation Africa! Helps Orphans Build A Sustainable Source Of Food For Their Future

Maria’s Hope is exactly what Operation Africa! was created to do, take the love of Jesus Christ and put it into the hands of people who desperately need to see it working. At the Glory Fellowship Orphanage in Kenya, these young people are not standing around waiting for another shipment of food to arrive. They are clearing the ground, breaking up the soil, pulling roots, swinging hoes and preparing a garden that, Lord willing, will continue producing long after the first seeds are planted. This is not simply feeding hungry children for one day; this is helping them build a renewable source of food that can keep feeding them tomorrow, next month and next year. Maria’s Hope is about turning a piece of Kenyan soil into provision, stability and opportunity. Come help us complete this live-saving mission of hope.

The garden will include seeds and plantings for cabbage, spinach, kale, carrots, managu, sagaa, and of course, lots and lots of fertilizer. As you can see in this video, the work of preparing the ground began in earnest this morning. But Maria’s Hope will be more than just produce. Lord willing, and just like we did for Irad in Uganda, we need to get them a cow, a goat and maybe some chickens as well. The beautiful little girl you see in the photo at the top of this article is Maria, and we are naming this garden project in her honor. She is one of 15 orphans at Glory Fellowship who have HIV/AIDS, along with a total of 84 orphans that live at the residence. They need this more than you could possibly imagine.

And this is why Maria’s Hope may become one of the most meaningful projects we have undertaken through Operation Africa! We are not simply sending something that will eventually run out. We are helping create something that can grow. Seeds become plants, plants become food, food becomes strength, and strength allows children to learn, work, worship and build a future. And all of it begins with a patch of red African soil, willing hands, generous NTEB listeners and readers, and a desire to put the gospel of Jesus Christ into action. This is missions work you can see, this is faith you can put your hands on. This is Maria’s Hope. We will need to raise between $5,000-10,000 to bring this garden to completion all told, and when it’s done, it will be there as long as the orphanage survives. Come help us!!

FUTURE SHOCK: AI Was Trained To Think Like Humans, But New Research Shows Humans Are Now Beginning To Think And Speak Like Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence was trained to think and act human, but in an incredible irony, it is the humans who are now acting like AI

For years, we were told that artificial intelligence was being trained on us. It consumed our books, our websites, our conversations, our photographs, our articles and our collective human experience, learning how we speak, how we think and how we respond. The machine was built to imitate the man. But now something far stranger is beginning to emerge: the man is beginning to imitate the machine. Researchers are finding measurable evidence that words, sentence structures and linguistic habits favored by AI systems are beginning to appear in human speech and writing. The creation is no longer merely reflecting its creator; the reflection is beginning to reshape the one standing in front of the mirror.

“And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” Revelation 13:15 (KJB)

Think about the feedback loop now being constructed in real time. Human beings produce the language that trains artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence processes that language, reorganizes it and develops recognizable patterns of its own. Millions of people then spend hours every day talking to those systems, writing with them, learning from them and increasingly allowing them to compose their emails, articles, schoolwork, business communications and even personal conversations. Those AI-shaped words are then poured back onto the Internet, where tomorrow’s artificial intelligence will consume them as training material. Human feeds machine, machine reshapes human. Human feeds machine again. Round and round it goes, until the question is no longer simply whether machines can successfully imitate humanity, but whether humanity will gradually surrender some measure of its own individuality to the machines it created.

The Turing Test once asked whether a machine could speak so convincingly that a human could no longer tell the difference. We are rapidly approaching something even more disturbing: a world where the distinction becomes harder to make because both sides are moving toward each other. Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly human in its presentation while human beings become increasingly conditioned by algorithmic language, algorithmic thinking, algorithmic recommendations and algorithmic decision-making. The great technological revolution of the twenty-first century may not ultimately be remembered as the moment when machines learned to think like people. It may be remembered as the moment when people, willingly and enthusiastically, began allowing machines to teach them how to think. The machine once studied mankind, now mankind is sitting at the feet of the machine. Welcome to The Matrix, 21st-century edition, and you’re going to hate how it all winds up.

THE PROPHECY NEWS PODCAST: A ‘Decimated’ And ‘Obliterated’ Iran Begins Weaponizing The Strait Of Hormuz Sending Global Energy Markets Into Chaos

Iran Tightens Its Grip On Hormuz As IRGC Rocket Launchers, Sea Mines And Ballistic Missiles Turn The World’s Most Important Oil Chokepoint Into A War Zone

Iran is once again showing the world that it does not need to defeat the United States in a conventional war to inflict tremendous damage upon it. According to CENTCOM, IRGC forces on Larak Island were preparing rocket launchers capable of firing naval mines directly into the Strait of Hormuz, replenishing the very minefields American forces had only just finished clearing. That is not ordinary coastal defense, it is calculated economic warfare. Tehran is weaponizing one of the most important maritime chokepoints on Earth, transforming a narrow stretch of water into a pressure valve on global oil supplies, shipping insurance, commercial traffic and inflation. Iran understands perfectly that it can shake markets, frighten tanker operators and drive oil above $90 without sinking an American aircraft carrier or winning a single conventional battle.

On this episode of the Prophecy News Podcast, when the United States destroyed those launchers, Iran did not limit its response to the Strait or strike only at the forces responsible. The IRGC fired ballistic missiles toward bases housing American forces in Jordan and launched drones into UAE airspace, immediately expanding the battlefield into neighboring countries. Jordan says it intercepted eight missiles, while the UAE says it intercepted Iranian drones over its territorial waters. Iran is demonstrating that every Gulf nation hosting American forces can be made to pay a price for Washington’s decisions. Tehran is turning the entire region into a field of retaliatory targets while presenting its aggression as “self-defense.”

The most disturbing part is that Iran appears determined to establish itself as the gatekeeper of Hormuz. Tehran says vessels must obey Iranian navigation restrictions, has reportedly threatened ships attempting to pass without its authorization, and claims a tanker struck two mines after trying to transit “illegally.” That amounts to an effort to impose Iranian control over an international waterway by force. America may destroy two launchers today and clear several mines tomorrow, but Iran can deploy more rockets, drones, missiles and mines from a long and heavily fortified coastline. The IRGC is betting that it can bleed America’s munitions, frighten its Gulf allies, strangle international commerce and force the world to negotiate on Tehran’s terms.
