Arab Spring Hits Russia As Thousands Riot In Streets
Police clashed Tuesday on a central Moscow square as demonstrators tried to hold a second day of protests against alleged vote fraud in Russia’s parliamentary elections. Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party saw a significant drop in support in Sunday’s election, but it will still have a majority in parliament. Opponents say even that watered-down victory was due to massive vote fraud.

Russia’s ‘Arab Spring’? Clashes break out in Moscow
Russia’s beleaguered opposition has been energized by the vote, staging its biggest protests in Moscow for years.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton reiterated U.S. suggestions that Sunday’s election was neither free nor fair. Russia’s Foreign Ministry later branded U.S. criticism “unacceptable.” Meanwhile, Republican Senator John McCain offered Putin a warning on Twitter: “Dear Vlad, The Arab Spring is coming to a neighborhood near you.”

PEACE IN OUR TIME: Top Diplomats From The United States And Russia Meet In Saudi Arabia To Discuss End To Ukraine War Without Involving Zelensky In Talks

The top diplomats from Russia and the U.S. met Tuesday in Saudi Arabia to discuss improving ties and negotiating an end to the war in Ukraine — talks that reflected a major and rapid change in American foreign policy under President Donald Trump.
Maybe it’s just me, but when I look out at the global landscape, I see a massive resetting of just about everything. Remember Klaus Schwab and his talk of the Great Reset? The resetting I see taking place now, under Donald Trump, has implications every bit as far reaching. Have you ever heard of ‘peace talks’ that didn’t involve the other party? How could that be? Something is not right here, and new alliances are being formed as the global order is definitely changing.
“Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.” Habakkuk 1:5 (KJB)
Everything is changing fast, almost too fast to properly acknowledge the intricate and complex events taking place. The whole world is rushing inexorably forward and it begs the question is the change that’s come good or bad? Some of it is good, some of it will be good, but much of that goodness will come at the expense of other things. American territorial expansion is not a good thing, we already have more space than we can adequately handle. Fix homelessness, the VA and the school system before you start worrying about expanding America’s borders. It looks indeed like a New World Order is forming in the ashes of the Pandemic, who will control it? If you haven’t guessed by now, these are rhetorical questions.
Top Russian and US officials discuss improving ties and ending the Ukraine war — without Kyiv
FROM THE ASSOCIATED PRESS: No Ukrainian officials were present at the meeting, which came as the beleaguered country is slowly but steadily losing ground against more numerous Russian troops in a grinding war that began nearly three years ago. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his country won’t accept any outcome from this week’s talks if Kyiv doesn’t take part. European allies have also expressed concerns they are being sidelined.
Beyond Ukraine, the meeting — attended by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and other senior officials — had been expected to focus on thawing relations between the two countries, whose ties have fallen to their lowest level in decades.
The plan delivered to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy last week would “amount to the US economic colonization of Ukraine, in legal perpetuity” and also “implies a burden of reparations that cannot possibly be achieved.” source
The meeting at the Diriyah Palace in the Saudi capital of Riyadh also highlights de facto leader Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s efforts to be a major diplomatic player, burnishing a reputation severely tarnished by the 2018 killing of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Meanwhile, Russia continued to pummel Ukraine with drones, according to Kyiv’s military. The Ukrainian air force said Russian troops launched a barrage of 176 drones at Ukraine overnight, most of which were destroyed or disabled by jamming. One Russian drone struck a residential building in Dolynska in the Kirovohrad region, wounding a mother and her two children and prompting an evacuation of 38 apartments, the regional administration reported. Four more residential buildings were damaged by drone debris in the Cherkasy region of Ukraine, according to local officials. READ MORE
Top Russian and US officials meet in Saudi Arabia for talks on Ukraine war
Top Russian and U.S. officials are holding talks in Saudi Arabia in a bid to improve their ties and negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met in Riyadh on Tuesday.
The US and Russian delegations have agreed to “address irritants to our bilateral relationship with the objective of taking steps necessary to normalise the operation of our respective diplomatic missions,” US state department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said after today’s Riyadh talks. The two sides also agreed to appoint high-level teams for Ukraine talks, “working on a path to ending the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible in a way that is enduring, sustainable, and acceptable to all sides,” she said. The US and Russia will also begin to look at “future cooperation on matters of mutual geopolitical interest and historic economic and investment opportunities which will emerge from a successful end to the conflict in Ukraine,” she added.

Russian President Vladimir Putin And North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un Sign Treaty Of Mutual Assistance In Case Of Military Aggression To Either Nation

Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Wednesday signed a new partnership that includes a vow of mutual aid if either country faces aggression, in a pact that came as both face escalating standoffs with the West.
If you ever spent any time watching documentaries on WWII, then you know what happening now across Europe and Asia is almost of mirror image of what was happening from 1936 onward, albeit with slightly different players but the game is the same. The Allied and Axis powers are forming into camps, and the battle lines become more and more clear with the passing of time. That war is coming is not debatable, the only question is is when will it break out, and what will be the spark that lights the powder keg.
“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” Matthew 24: 6 (KJB)
The biblical implications and spiritual overtones of both WWI and WWII are so sharp that it’s nigh impossible to think there won’t be a WWIII, and there will be. But WWIII is not the Battle of Armageddon, Ezekiel 39, and is not the Battle of Gog and Magog, Ezekiel 38. Read ‘The Bible Believer’s Guide To The Two Different Wars As Found In Ezekiel Chapters 38 And 39’ for more information on that subject.
WWI prepared the land of Israel for the Jew, WWII prepared the Jew to return to the land, and WWIII will herald the revealing of the man of sin, sending the Jews into the time of Jacob’s trouble as the Old Testament prophets say will surely happen. Somewhere in the midst of all that, Jesus will return for His Church and catch us up to meet Him in the clouds. That’s the memo.
Russia and North Korea sign partnership deal that appears to be the strongest since the Cold War
FROM THE ASSOCIATED PRESS: Details of the deal were not immediately clear, but it could mark the strongest connection between Moscow and Pyongyang since the end of the Cold War. Both leaders described it as a major upgrade of their relations, covering security, trade, investment and cultural and humanitarian ties.
The two met as Putin visited North Korea for the first time in 24 years. The summit came as the U.S. and its allies express growing concerns over a possible arms arrangement in which the country provides Moscow with badly needed munitions for its war in Ukraine in exchange for economic assistance and technology transfers that could enhance the threat posed by Kim’s nuclear weapons and missile program.
Kim said the two countries had a “fiery friendship,” and that the deal was the “strongest ever treaty” between them, putting the relationship at the level of an alliance. He vowed full support for Russia’s war in Ukraine.
Tensions on the Korean Peninsula are at their highest point in years, with the pace of both Kim’s weapons tests and combined military exercises involving the U.S., South Korea and Japan intensifying in a tit-for-tat cycle. The Koreas also have engaged in Cold War-style psychological warfare that involved North Korea dropping tons of trash on the South with balloons, and the South broadcasting anti-North Korean propaganda with its loudspeakers.
Kim was quoted as saying the agreement “will become a driving force accelerating the creation of a new multipolar world.”
U.S. and South Korean officials accuse the North of providing Russia with artillery, missiles and other military equipment for use in Ukraine, possibly in return for key military technologies and aid. On Tuesday, a U.S. State Department spokesman said that in recent months, Washington has seen North Korea “unlawfully transfer dozens of ballistic missiles and over 11,000 containers of munitions to aid Russia’s war effort.”
Both Pyongyang and Moscow deny accusations of weapons transfers, which would violate multiple U.N. Security Council sanctions that Russia previously endorsed. Along with China, Russia has provided political cover for Kim’s efforts to advance his nuclear arsenal, repeatedly blocking U.S.-led efforts to impose fresh U.N. sanctions on the North over its weapons tests. North Korea’s Kim to Back Putin ‘Unconditionally’ in Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said he will “unconditionally support” Russia in its invasion of Ukraine. The statement comes as Kim and Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks in Pyongyang, emphasizing deepening ties between the two nations amid US concerns about arms supplies to the Kremlin. Bloomberg Opinion’s Marc Champion breaks down the situation and its significance.

The Russian Nuclear Missile Frigate Admiral Gorshkov Now Sailing Through Waters Off The Coast Of Florida As US Deploys Three Guided-Missile Destroyers

A group of Russian warships that sailed close to Florida shores, closely watched by U.S. destroyers, entered the port of Havana on Wednesday morning ahead of Russian military exercises in the Caribbean.
For quite some time now, the United States and the western nations of Europe have been having fun playing proxy war with Russia through military support for Ukraine. Hundreds of billions in financial aid, missiles, tanks and technology have been given to them, and now Russia decided to have some fun as well by sailing nuclear-armed ships off the coast of Florida. Today Russia conducted marine military exercises 66 miles off the Florida coast.
“There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.” Psalm 104:26 (KJB)
In a battle between Russia and the United States, I would clearly and easily pick the USA to win. But from a biblical perspective, Russia is mentioned in Bible prophecy as being one of the major nations in the end times, while America doesn’t even get a mention. There’s a reason for that.
Russian warships, nuclear submarine enter Havana Harbor under watch of U.S. destroyers
FROM THE MIAMI HERALD: Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces officials, the Russian ambassador to Cuba Victor Koronelli and a crowd of Russian tourists and curious Cubans gathered at the Malecon, the famous Havana seaside promenade, to watch the Russian missile frigate Admiral Gorshkov enter the port amid a 21-gun salute.
Early on Wednesday, the top of the nuclear-powered submarine Kazan was visible outside Havana Harbor before it submerged again, Cuban independent media 14ymedio reported.
The presence of the Russian warships in Cuba just 90 miles from U.S. shores, is seen as a gesture of defiance by Vladimir Putin, who last week warned about taking “asymmetrical” steps and the possibility of sending long-range weapons to third countries to attack Western targets after President Joe Biden allowed Ukraine to use U.S. weapons to strike inside Russia.

Speaking to reporters Wednesday, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said the U.S. government has not seen evidence that Russia is placing in or delivering missiles to Cuba.
“We have not seen anything like that,” he said.
The senior official said Russian ships have also been sailing to Havana under past administrations, though this visit has “elements…that are different, that are distinct,” he said in a reference to the Kazan submarine.
The presence of Russian warships in Cuba is “something we watch closely, carefully,” he added. “We will see how this unfolds in the coming days, but we have seen this kind of thing before.” The Biden administration has dismissed the Russian naval movements as a messaging tactic in response to U.S. support for Ukraine. But the U.S. Navy nevertheless deployed a powerful flotilla in response, sending three destroyers, a Coast Guard cutter and a maritime surveillance plane to stalk the Russian vessels. READ MORE
