In addition to sending out King James Bibles Behind Bars, we also send out Spanish Bibles and John and Romans portions, we send out salvation-based literature like “What Must I Do To Be Saved?”, and a seemingly endless assortment of gospel tracts.

We got two emails today for Bibles Behind Bars, the first one said “Good morning, I am a Jail Social Worker in the Jefferson County Jail, WI. I am trying to rebuild a religious reading cabinet. Can you help?” The second one said “I serve at an ICE detention center where there is a high turnover among the male population. We are requesting that if possible, if you may be able to send 250 Spanish Bibles. Each Bible will be provided to detainees in need.” The word is getting out, and the word is going out, what a blessing!

I am humbled by every request we get for Bibles, literature and gospel tracts, because each one is a sobering reminder that this is a door the LORD Himself has opened for us to get something done for His Name that will make it through the Judgment Seat of Christ if we’re willing to do it.

2,500 King James Bibles and 360 copies of “What Must I Do To Be Saved?” need to go out to 6 different jails in 4 different states, and we need your help to do it!

A lot of people followed the trail of the NTEB Relief Convoy that brought food, water, clothing and diapers to the people in Asheville, North Carolina. The absolute highlight of that trip was sending the people there 1,000 Bibles and cases of John and Romans scripture portions. Since we did that, 6 different jails and prisons have now reached out to us all at the same time, to enquire if we could supply their ministries in those places with Bibles. You talk about an “open door”, brother, this is it.

I am so very happy the Lord is using all of us in this way to supply a need where very few other ministries go, behind the bars with the greatest open door of all time, God’s preserved word. These are the jails and prisons currently looking to us to supply them with Bibles:

On top of that, we are going to send each facility a case of “What Must I Do To Be Saved?” by Dr. Bill Grady. We started sending them out awhile back in small batches and have gotten a very good response from the chaplains. All told, we are looking at right around 2,500 Bibles and 6 cases of booklets, at a cost of somewhere right around $12,500 delivered. We would love to begin sending this out at the beginning of next week, and we need your help to do it.

Both the The Farmington Correctional Center and the Garza West Unit have  an immediate need for King James Bibles, will you help us to send them to out?

Chaplain Smith from the Farmington Correctional Center – A Side wrote to tell us this: “We have the constant need of bibles, due to we the fact that we have the side of the Facility where we are receiving all new offenders. We also have a large group of Christian General population. We have 13 different Christian groups meeting a week in the chapel, as well bibles and ministry within our medical and Administrative Segregation Units.” A constant need for Bibles without a way to meet that need, that’s why Bibles Behind Bars was raised up.

Over at the Garza West Unit in Texas, Chaplain Hall wrote to us and said “At last count we have 2233 inmates. We’re an intake facility so guys sometimes only stay a few months before moving on and our numbers will go up and down. If you could send us up to 200 full Bibles at a time that would be great.” Garza West needs batches of 200 Bibles at a time, as an intake facility they have a constant turnover of new faces, most of whom will need a King James Bible.
