Emmanuel Macron speaking at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday said we need a ‘new world order’ of globalization and peace.
“The COVID crisis, the collapse of our cooperation frameworks, the weaknesses that I have just mentioned require us to rebuild a new order and force Europe to take its full share of responsibility,” Emmanuel Macron said Tuesday.

The prophet Zephaniah tells of a time, far in the future from his day, where amazingly God would ‘gather all the nations’ of the world in an ‘assembly’, and that they would be gathered for the purpose of judgment being poured down on them. This prophecy is so on the money that the official name of the UN is the United Nations General Assembly, exactly as Zephaniah had foretold. The judgment of the UN will come in the second half of the time of Jacob’s trouble, during the great Tribulation, when under the leadership of Emmanuel Macon, umm, wait, I mean…Antichrist, all the nations of the world will come against Israel. COVID-19 pandemic should be ‘shock’ to UN, revive multilateral order, France’s Macron tells world leaders
FROM UN.ORG: “This crisis, undoubtedly more than any other, requires cooperation, requires the invention of new international solutions,” Macron said in his wide-ranging video address.
He noted that “the international organizations that we so badly need, like the World Health Organization, have been accused by some of complacency, and instrumentalized by others” and that scientists and journalists, “so essential for understanding and acting effectively in the face of the crisis, have been called into question by the propaganda of the States, as by the epidemic of disinformation”.
President Macron also considered that the UN itself “runs the risk of powerlessness”, with the Security Council, for example, having hardly managed to meet at the height of the coronavirus pandemic because two of its permanent members “preferred to display their rivalry.”
“All the fractures that existed before the pandemic, the hegemonic shock of the powers, the questioning of multilateralism or its instrumentalization, the trampling of international law has only accelerated and deepened at the same time. in favor of the global destabilization created by the pandemic,” he explained.
In this context, “we no longer have the right to close our eyes. We no longer have the opportunity, the luxury, if I may say so, to procrastinate. This pandemic must be for our organization an electric shock and the moment of a saving awakening”, he affirmed.
The world as it is today “cannot be reduced to the rivalry between China and the United States, whatever the global weight of these two great Powers, whatever also the ‘history that binds us together,” he said.
“The crisis, the collapse of our cooperation frameworks, the weaknesses that I have just mentioned require us to rebuild a new order and force Europe to take its full share of responsibility,” he stressed. Mr. Macron underscored that “in the weeks and months to come, fundamental choices will have to be made. There will surely be a cure for the pandemic one day. But there will be no miracle cure for the destruction of the contemporary order.”
He said that the reconstruction of the foundations of the international order requires the establishment of functional international cooperation based on clear rules, defined and respected by all.
“Multilateralism is not just an act of faith, it is an operational necessity,” he added. “However, we can no longer be satisfied with a multilateralism of words which only allows fundamentally to accept the greatest common denominator, a way of hiding deep differences under a facade consensus.’
Instead, “we must change the method, reverse the terms of the contract, be as loud and clear when some people pride themselves on adhering to alliances and their principles, to organizations and their principles, only to trample on them in reality ”. READ MORE

French President Emmanuel Macron is clinging onto power after another damaging political blow saw his government left in disarray.
FROM THE SUN US: His government collapsed last night after a historic vote of no-confidence was passed against Prime Minister Michel Barnier in the National Assembly. Macron is now on the hunt for his sixth PM during his stint as president but it comes amid calls for him to ultimately resign. The president has constantly vowed to serve out his term until 2027 despite his political rivals now calling for him to step down immediately.
The deputy of the far-left La France Insoumise party, Manuel Bompard, claimed today that Macron must leave to regain a sense of stability in Paris.
He told RTL France: “We are facing a situation of instability. I do not see, given the configuration of the National Assembly and the inability to compromise, a stable situation emerging.”
He also warned the next PM that they are walking into a poisoned seat. Bompard is adamant that another Macron ally shouldn’t be gifted the prestigious role like before as all it does is reinforce France’s “democratic problem”.
Far-right leader Marine Le Pen has also blasted Macron for failing to step aside and says he is going to “sacrifice the fate of France because of his vanity”.
Outgoing Barnier has already met with Macron today and is expected to formally announce his resignation later today. The 73-year-old former EU Brexit negotiator was only appointed in September – making him the shortest serving prime minister in French history.
Macron is also due to address the nation in a televised speech, according to the Elysee presidential palace.
The latest polls out of Paris say the people feel they are entering a period of politics that is incapable of ever moving forwards under a Macron government. Almost two-thirds of French citizens say they are in favour of him handing in his resignation, according to a Toluna-Harris survey for RTL. Macron and MBS sign strategic partnership, call for elections in Lebanon
FROM LE MONDE: After a meeting with Prince Mohammed, the de facto ruler of the oil-rich Gulf kingdom, Macron’s office announced the signing of a new partnership aimed at improving cooperation in “defense, energy transition, culture, mobility between the two countries.” The two leaders also “agreed to make every effort to contribute to de-escalation in the region,” including helping to consolidate the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon.
“Together, they called for the holding of presidential elections in Lebanon with the aim of bringing the Lebanese people together and carrying out the reforms necessary for the stability and security of the country,” the statement from Macron’s office said.
Macron touched down in the Saudi capital Riyadh in the afternoon, where he was greeted by an honor guard of sword-holding servicemen and celebratory cannon fire as he disembarked from his plane. Macron’s visit began as France’s less than three-month-old minority government faced the prospect of being forced out by a vote of no confidence in the coming days.
Macron’s state visit is the first by a French president to Saudi Arabia since Jacques Chirac in 2006, cementing what the presidency calls a “very close relationship.”
The French president and Prince Mohammed will see how they “work together” on the conflicts shaking the region, with Lebanon at the “heart of the discussions,” the French presidency said in an earlier statement.
Macron is hoping for Saudi support for the Lebanese army, which is being deployed toward the border with Israel under the ceasefire but is poorly armed and trained. Emmanuel Macron Says Israel PM ‘Mustn’t Forget His Country Created By UN Decision’
FROM BARRON’S NEWS: Tensions have increased between Netanyahu and Macron with the French leader last week insisting that stopping the export of weapons used by Israel in Gaza and Lebanon was the only way to stop the conflicts.
France has also repeatedly denounced Israeli fire against UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon, who include a French contingent.
“Mr. Netanyahu must not forget that his country was created by a decision of the UN,” Macron told the weekly French cabinet meeting, referring to the resolution adopted in November 1947 by the United Nations General Assembly on the plan to partition Palestine into a Jewish state and an Arab state.
“Therefore this is not the time to disregard the decisions of the UN,” he added, as Israel wages a ground offensive against the Iran-backed Shiite militant group Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, where the UN peacekeepers are deployed.

His comments from the closed door meeting at the Elysee Palace were quoted by a participant who spoke to AFP and asked not to be named. UN Security Council Resolution 1701 states that only the Lebanese army and the UN peacekeeping mission UNIFIL should be deployed in southern Lebanon.
Netanyahu on Sunday called on the UN to move the 10,000 strong peacekeeping force, who include 700 French troops, deployed in south Lebanon out of “harm’s way”, saying Hezbollah was using them as “human shields”. READ MORE
