Israel to Celebrate the 44th Anniversary of Jerusalem’s Reunification

The day commemorates the miraculous liberation of the Old City of Jerusalem on the 28th of Iyar, 5727 (June 7, 1967), just days after several Arab armies threatened to wipe the State of Israel off the map. Israel took the initiative with a surprise, defensive attack, wiping out the Egyptian Air Force in one day, and taking over Jerusalem, Gaza, Judea, Samaria, the Sinai and the Golan Heights shortly thereafter. Weeks of national trepidation and tension, including the preparing of thousands of body-bags in Jerusalem and elsewhere, suddenly gave way to celebration and thanksgiving.

This Tuesday night and Wednesday will be a special day for lovers of Jerusalem, which celebrates the 44th anniversary of its Six Day War reunification.

The war marked Israel’s return to the Old City of Jerusalem for the first time since having been ignominiously driven out in 1948, and for the first time in 1,899 years as sovereign rulers.

It has been noted many times that in the days prior to the war, Israel used its informal ties with Jordan’s King Hussein to ask him repeatedly to hold its fire and forces and allow Israel to concentrate only on its Egyptian and Syrian fronts. Had Hussein listened, the course of history would have been very different, as Israel would not have liberated Jerusalem, Judea or Samaria – at least not then.

The war marked Israel’s return to the Old City of Jerusalem for the first time since having been ignominiously driven out in 1948, and for the first time in 1,899 years as sovereign rulers.
In fact, though most Jews were thrilled in 1948 when the renewed State of Israel was established, for others the joy was greatly tempered by the lack of inclusion in its borders of the holy sites of Jerusalem– and particularly the Temple Mount.

The continued longing for Jerusalem and other Biblical areas was expressed by Rabbi Tzvi Yehuda Kook, the head of Yeshivat Merkaz HaRav. Speaking to his students on Independence Day of 1967, just weeks before the Six Day War, he appeared to be gripped by prophecy when he cried out, “Where is our Hevron? Have we forgotten it? And where is our Shechem (Nablus)? Have we forgotten it? And where is our Jericho? Have we forgotten it?! … And where is all the rest of the Land of Israel? Where are all the pieces of G-d’s Land? Do we have the right to give up even one millimeter? Heaven forbid!”

One of his students, Rabbi Chanan Porat, who was later to be a leader in the movement to settle all of the Land of Israel, said that the rabbi’s emotion was so extreme that it left an impression on him forever: “He roared and cried out from the depths of his heart; we saw that he was truly like one crying over someone who had just died, as if he was torn in pieces. We felt as if he was speaking in the name of the Land of Israel, and that its tearing-asunder was tearing his own flesh as well.”

Just days after Rabbi Kook’s emotional cry, Egypt placed a blockade around the Straits of Tiran leading into Israel, and preparations for war began. Within three weeks, Hevron, Jericho, Shechem and Jerusalem were once again in Jewish hands. Rabbi Kook and his friend the Nazir, Rabbi David Cohen, were given a special military escort to the Western Wall within hours of its liberation.

The continued longing for Jerusalem in the 19 years between ’48 and ’67 was expressed on another level by Naomi Shemer, in her famous song “Jerusalem of Gold.” The original lyrics read, “The city that sits solitary, and in its midst – a wall… How the cisterns have dried, the market-place is empty, and no one frequents the Temple Mount, in the OldCity… Jerusalem of gold, and of bronze, and of light, Behold I am a violin for all your songs…”

Just a few months later, she was able to add these lyrics as the final stanza: “We have returned to the cisterns, To the market and to the market-place, A ram’s horn (shofar) is heard on the Temple Mount, In the OldCity.” The song Jerusalem of Gold quickly became Israel’s unofficial national anthem, sung in joy at every opportunity. source – Arutz Sheva

Violent Palestinian Mobs Create Shocking Scene At The Release In Gaza Of Arbel Yehoud And Other Hamas Hostages In Calling For Their Death

SHARE NOW THE END BEGINS:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blasted the “horrific” scenes during the chaotic Hamas hostage handover in Gaza — as the Jewish state then delayed the release of more than 100 Palestinian prisoners

As the latest round of Israeli hostages were released from Hamas captivity, a sickening scene took place that, to me, forever settles the question about the true nature of the Palestinian people. As Arbel Yehoud, Agam Berger, Gadi Moses and others were being released from Gaza by their Hamas captors, angry hordes of blood-thirsting Palestinian residents began to call for their death, impeding the forward path of their release to safety. That’s everything you need to know about the “poor, misunderstood Palestinian people”, they are rabid animals who hate the Jews with an unquenchable passion. Whose side are you on?

“The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.” Exodus 15:14 (KJB)

If you’re confused, let me clear it up for you. Now The End Begins stands with the Jews, stands with Israel, and stand with their eternal capital of Jerusalem. I don’t care how many fake Christians the devil raises up like Steven Anderson, Texe Marrs and Chuck Baldwin to stand against the Jews, we will stand against them. The war in Gaza may be on hiatus, but it is not even close to over. The Palestinians in Gaza will make sure of that. Pray for all the hostages that are being released, pray the LORD will send in Bible believers with the gospel of the grace of God that they might be not only set free from Hamas, but set free indeed in Jesus Christ.

Benjamin Netanyahu blasts ‘horrific’ scenes of angry mobs at chaotic Hamas hostage handover in Gaza

FROM THE NY POST: “I view with great severity the shocking scenes during the release of our hostages,” Netanyahu fumed. “This is further proof of the unimaginable cruelty of the Hamas terrorist organization.”

The leader demanded that mediators “ensure that such horrific scenes do not occur again” in future exchanges — and threatened retaliation if any captives were harmed. The release of three Israeli and five Thai hostages, who had been held in Hamas’ custody for more than 481 days, was delayed by a screaming crowd of Palestinians who surrounded and jeered at them, pushing and shoving to get closer, video shows.

According to the terms of the 42-day cease-fire deal between Israel and Hamas, Israel was expected to release 110 Palestinian prisoners on Thursday — however Israeli officials said they were withholding their release.

“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, have ordered the delay in the release of the terrorists scheduled to be released today – until the safe exit of our hostages is guaranteed in the next few days,” the prime minister’s spokesperson, Omer Dostri, said in a statement. An Egyptian official confirmed that the Palestinian prisoners would be released later Thursday, around 5 p.m. local time, CNN reported.

Hours after the first hostage, female Israeli soldier Agam Berger was released in northern Gaza, chaos erupted as thousands of Palestinians encircled the handover site in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis – just outside of the destroyed home of slain Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. Hundreds of militants from Hamas and the smaller Islamic Jihad group showed up in force and thousands of people gathered to watch, with some standing on the roofs of destroyed homes to catch a glimpse.

Hostage soldier Arbel Yehoud, 29, appeared terrified as she was walked by several gunmen through a large mob — many trying to take pictures, video shows. Many in the crowd shouted and surrounded Yehoud as masked militants pushed people away and escorted her through. The Red Cross was delayed as the organization’s vehicle inched through the crowds. Israel officials later confirmed they had been transferred. The third Israeli hostage released was Gadi Moses, an 80-year-old man. Five Thai nationals were also freed, but have not been officially identified.

Berger, 19, was among 5 soldiers in Hamas captivity kidnapped in the Oct. 7 attacks. Hamas freed four of her colleagues last week. The IDF released video of the moment Berger was handed back into Israeli hands, breaking down into tears the second she stepped out of the Red Cross vehicle and was comforted by a medical officer.

She was then brought to Rabin Medical Center for a medical check where she finally embraced her parents, Shlomi and Meravi, in an emotional reunion, video from the Times of Israel shows. “We’re here and we’ll never leave you again — forever,” Merav tells her daughter. “That’s a mother’s promise.” READ MORE

Israeli authorities delayed the release of 110 Palestinian prisoners after what they said were unacceptable, chaotic scenes at the hostage handover in southern Gaza. The prisoners are now due to be released later Thursday, an Egyptian official said.

Donald Trump Makes The Announcement Of Ceasefire In Gaza And That The Hostages Will Be Released ‘Shortly’, Says His Election Is The Reason Behind It

Published

SHARE NOW THE END BEGINS:

US President-elect Donald Trump announced on Wednesday night that a hostage-ceasefire deal had been met and the hostages would be ‘released shortly,’ in a post on Truth Social.

You got to hand it to him, Donald Trump just may be the greatest showman of our time, and I mean that sincerely. His ability to capture attention and dominate the headlines has no equal in the political world. It’s even more impressive when you realize that he does that with the combined might of the Democrats and the news media who conspire together on an hourly basis to bring him down. But to what purpose does Trump return to the White House when viewed in the light of the prophet Daniel?

“And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:” Daniel 2:21 (KJB)

We rejoice with the hostages families at the prospect that at least some of them will be return home alive to their loved ones, and we grieve for those who are never coming back. Yes, I do believe that Hamas chose 2023 to attack Israel and the Jews because they knew that Biden and the Democrats are sketchy in their support of the Jewish state. And yes, I believe that like Reagan in 1980 who warned the Iranians that those hostages better be released before he was sworn in, that the specter of a pro-Israel incoming Trump administration sped things along. But if you believe your Bible, Israel is still headed to a time of unprecedented (fake) peace through the Abraham Accords, a trap if there ever was one, also from Trump, that just may wind up being the covenant that gets confirmed in Daniel 9:27 under Antichrist. The news may change on an hourly basis, but the Bible does not. That’s the memo.

Israel, Hamas agree to Gaza deal, Trump says hostages to be ‘released shortly’

FROM THE JERUSALEM POST: In President-elect Donald Trump’s second post on his platform Truth Social after Israeli and Hamas officials confirmed the ceasefire deal, he boasted the “epic” agreement could have only happened as a result of his historic victory in November as it “signaled to the entire World that my Administration would seek Peace and negotiate deals to ensure the safety of all Americans, and our Allies.”

Trump said he’s thrilled American and Israeli hostages will return to be united with their families and loved ones. With the deal in place, Trump said his national security team through the efforts of Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff “will continue to work closely with Israel and our Allies to make sure Gaza NEVER again becomes a terrorist safe haven.”

“We will continue promoting PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH throughout the region, as we build upon the momentum of this ceasefire to further expand the Historic Abraham Accords,” Trump wrote. “This is only the beginning of great things to come for America, and indeed, the World!”

Trump said his team “achieved so much” without even being in the White House.

He continued, “just imagine all of the wonderful things that will happen when I return to the White House, and my Administration is fully confirmed, so they can secure more Victories for the United States!” READ MORE

President-elect Donald Trump is praising the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and hostage release deal, taking partial credit for the successful negotiation brokered by Qatar, Egypt and the U.S. CBS News’ Nancy Cordes reports.

In A Stunning Move, Israel Unleashes Relentless And Blistering Overnight Airstrikes On All Syrian Military Installations Rendering Them Effectively Neutered

Israel pounded Syrian army bases on Tuesday in strikes it says aim to keep weapons from falling into hostile hands, but denied its forces had advanced into Syria beyond a buffer zone at the border.

Over the weekend, rebels forces toppled the Assad government in Syria by driving power out and seizing control of capital city Damascus. On our Podcast yesterday, we introduced you to their new leader, Abu Mohammad Al-Jolani. Israel for their part wasted no time in responding to all that, and as the sun rose this morning in the Middle East, all that was left of the entire Syrian military was smoldering in ruins. Abu Mohammad Al-Jolani may have just taken Syrian, but Israel just took away his ability to wage war against them in stunning fashion.

“And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel .” Malachi 1:5 (KJB)

Ever since the exploding pagers that wreaked such havoc throughout all Hezbollah, Israel and the IDF have been on a wonderful offensive streak that their enemies simply have no response to. Buoyed by the knowledge that the Biden regime has effectively ended and the incoming Trump administration that supports Israel is almost in place, Israel is acting without reservation to protect their borders. Over the past 24 hours, the IDF has neutralized chemical weapons factories, military installations, aircraft and ships, and entire stockpiles of missiles so that Abu Mohammad Al-Jolani has almost nothing to work with. Pray for the Jews, pray for Israel and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Am Yisrael Chai.

Israel pounds Syrian military sites; regional sources claim ‘nothing left’ of army assets

FROM THE TIMES OF ISRAEL: Regional security sources and officers within the now-fallen Syrian army who spoke to Reuters described Tuesday morning’s airstrikes as the heaviest yet, hitting military installations and airbases across Syria, destroying dozens of helicopters and jets, as well as Republican Guard assets in and around Damascus.

The rough tally of 200 raids overnight had left nothing of the Syrian army’s assets, said the sources.

The Israeli Air Force has carried out over 300 airstrikes in Syria since the collapse of the regime, destroying advanced weapons and other capabilities. Strikes reportedly carried out by Israel in Damascus’s Barzeh area completely destroyed a defense ministry research center, AFP correspondents reported on Tuesday. Western countries including the United States struck the facility in 2018, saying it was related to Syria’s “chemical weapons infrastructure.”

The IDF had yet to comment broadly on the strikes, but military sources said that the Navy had carried out a large-scale operation Monday night to destroy the former regime’s naval fleet, amid a wave of operations to take out military assets lest they fall into hostile hands.

The Israeli operations in Syria came in the wake of a lightning offensive by rebel forces there, which on Sunday toppled the regime of Bashar al-Assad in a dramatic two-week chapter of a civil war that began in 2011, and which had been locked in a stalemate for years. Following the regime’s fall, Israel moved to destroy regime weapons sites before they could fall into the hands of forces hostile to Israel, amid the chaotic takeover by rebel groups, many of whom were originally associated with al-Qaeda and other jihadist groups.

Numerous Syrian navy vessels armed with sea-to-sea missiles were destroyed in strikes carried out by Israeli Navy missile boats Monday night at the Minet el-Beida bay and Latakia port on the Syrian coast, according to military sources. READ MORE

Multiple explosions from Israel have hit Syria’s capital, a day after opposition fighters forced the collapse of the Assad regime. There’ve been about a hundred Israeli air strikes on Damascus and other parts of the country as people look to rebuild after 13 years of civil war.
