The Bible clearly teaches us that, in the same way dogs will follow and obey their master, so Christians must follow our Master Jesus Christ as he commands

As a lifelong cat person, I confess to not knowing much, if anything, about dogs. Having cats is the opposite of having dogs. So it was a pleasant yet shocking surprise when we got our new puppy, to have an animal that does what I tell it to do, when I tell it to do it. Traits we associate with dogs are very much in line with what Jesus expects from us. We are Gentile dogs, for sure, but maybe just how much that analogy carries through just might surprise you, it sure did me.

“The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter. But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs. And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs.” Mark 7:26-28 (KJB)

2). Waiting For the Lord: One loyal German shepherd in Argentina died in 2018 beside his owner’s grave, where he had been passing his days since his owner died 12 years earlier, local media reported. Capitan, age 15, first made headlines in 2012, when local papers reported the dog had been waiting at his owner’s grave in the town of Villa Carlos Paz. His story soon spread, inspiring dog lovers around the world. Miguel Guzmán died in 2006. Capitan disappeared from the family home shortly after, only to be found by Guzmán’s widow, Veronica, at the gravesite. Despite several attempts to take the dog home, Capitan always ran back to the cemetery, about 15 blocks from the house.

3). Working for the Lord: We all have either heard or said the expression “I’ve been working like a dog” at some point in our lives. What do we mean when we say that? Well, go watch a dog work on something like a bone, digging a hole, or selflessly putting its own life at risk to save a loved one. When they know they have a job to do, they do it until either it’s done or they’re dead, you won’t find a whole lot of “middle ground” with a dog, they are usually not lukewarm.

Born in 1962, Nemo the German Shepherd was recruited by the U.S. Air Force when he was 1 ½ years old. In 1966, he was transferred to the Republic of South Vietnam to fight alongside soldiers and a group of sentry dogs.

One night, Nemo alerted his handler to the presence of nearby enemy soldiers. He lost an eye, but he survived the gunfire and continued to fight the attackers. In 1967, he officially retired from active service, the first sentry dog to do so.

Nemo was credited with saving his handler’s life. He died of natural causes in 1972 at Lackland Air Force Base at the Department of Defense Dog Center, where a kennel now stands as a memorial to this brave dog.

The Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was moved to a secure location and says Hezbollah is at the forefront of resistance against Israel.

All over the Middle East right now, Muslims are celebrating the death of Hezbollah terror chief Hassan Nasrallah who has been confirmed dead after a stunning strike on Hezbollah headquarters in Beirut yesterday. In Syria, Iran and Lebanon, Muslims could not be happier that the man that so heavily oppressed them has now been taken out of the way. In Tehran, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been whisked away to a secure location, cowering in fear that the Lion of Judah is going to get him next. Smart man, but as heavyweight boxing champ Joe Louis once said, “he can run, but he can’t hide”.

Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei calls on Muslims to assist Lebanon in confronting Israel after death of Hassan Nasrallah confirmed

FROM THE JERUSALEM POST: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called on Muslims on Saturday “to stand by the people of Lebanon and the proud Hezbollah with whatever means they have and assist them in confronting the … wicked regime (of Israel).”

In a statement after the Israeli army said it had killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Khamenei said: “The fate of this region will be determined by the forces of resistance, with Hezbollah at the forefront,” state media reported.

He has been transferred to a secure location inside the country with heightened security measures in place, two regional officials briefed by Tehran told Reuters.

The sources said Iran was in constant contact with Lebanon’s Hezbollah and other regional proxy groups to determine the next step after Israel announced that it had killed Hezbollah terror chief Hassan Nasrallah in a strike on south Beirut on Friday.

Nasrallah was killed alongside Hezbollah’s commander of the southern front, Ali Karaki, and a host of other senior Hezbollah members in a strike on Hezbollah’s military headquarters in the Lebanese capital.

Khameini in hiding: Decision comes after emergency meeting

On Friday, Khameini held an emergency meeting with top advisors in Tehran, as per the New York Times citing Iranian sources. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi accused Israel of using several US “bunker buster” bombs to strike Beirut on Friday.

“Just this morning, the Israeli regime used several 5,000-pound bunker busters that had been gifted to them by the United States to hit residential areas in Beirut,” he told a UN Security Council meeting on the Middle East.

Further, US President Joe Biden directed the Pentagon to “assess and adjust as necessary US force posture” in the Middle East, according to the White House.

“He has also directed his team to ensure that US embassies in the region take all protective measures as appropriate,” a statement read. The White House said Biden was briefed “several times” on Friday about the Middle East. An official added that Vice President Kamala Harris was also briefed. READ MORE

God has given us an amazing open door with the Free Bible and Gospel Tracts Program and Bibles Behind Bars, meeting the spiritual needs of saints and sinners around the world.

This week we have had a beautiful assortment of requests for King James Bibles, New Testaments, scripture portions and gospel tracts from a very diverse section of humanity. There was the Maury Correctional Facility in Hookerton, North Carolina who needed Bibles and copies of “What Must I Do To Be Saved?”, and we set them up. Then there was the Amazing Grace Bible Baptist Church in the Philippines who needed Ruckman Reference Bibles for their Bible Institute graduating class, and those went out. The Solomon’s Porch Men’s Ministry at The Shepherd’s Church in Cary, North Carolina needed lots of Bibles for their annual outreach to the unsaved, and we handled that request as well.

In addition to that, we send out daily Ruckman Reference Bibles to individuals around the world who write in to us requesting a study Bible, but are not able to afford one.
