Donald Trump’s return to the White House on January 20 2025 is widely seen as ushering in a period of significant upheaval for US foreign policy, perhaps even a New World Order

This second time around, Donald Trump as president of the United States appears to be a lot more serious and focused on the job at hand. After surviving the worst example of lawfare I think this nation has ever seen, the novelty is gone and the humor appears to have worn thin. This Donald Trump is primed for action as seen in his flurry of executive orders on Day 1, and might well extend out around the world as well. New World Order? Maybe. At the very least, he is looking to expand US control of the western hemisphere, something not seen in nearly a century. One thing is for sure, change has arrived, but what type of change will it be? That’s the memo.

No, Donald Trump is not the Antichrist, he is not forming the 10 Nation Confederacy and he is not bringing in the Mark of the Beast. But what he is doing is a near-complete reversal of much established policy in the United States. He is a one-man wrecking crew on DEI, on gender legislation, will only recognize two genders, bringing to a halt illegal immigration with possibly deporting hundreds of thousands of illegals. That is huge and there will be reprisals. Not only that, he is talking about accessing Greenland, reclaiming the Panama Canal, and renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. He has withdrawn the US from the World Health Organization and the Paris Climate Accords. Lastly, Trump is ramping up death penalty executions by directing the attorney general to “take all necessary and lawful action” to ensure that states have enough lethal injection drugs to carry out executions. Then there is all the speculation as to the role the cryptocurrency will play in the Trump White House, it could also be huge. Like I said, it’s been a big 24 hours for President Trump. What remains to be seen is how he will now interact with world leaders and nations like Russia, Ukraine and France. It is not overstatement to say a New World Order is coming, and in fact, may already be here. Let’s see how far it goes.

President Donald Trump signals he will start pushing for a new world order in first 100 days

FROM THE CONVERSATION: Trump’s favoured style of bluster and threats against foreign leaders already seems to have paid off in helping to craft a peace deal, however shaky, in Gaza. The deal was negotiated by Joe Biden and his team, in co-ordination with Trump’s incoming administration. But analysts suggest Trump’s fierce comments on January 7 that “all hell would break lose” if the hostages weren’t soon released were actually a threat to Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu to get something done quickly. And this forced the Israeli government to commit to a deal.

Trump used this abrasive style in his first term. And his recent threats to buy Greenland, annex Canada and resume control of the Panama Canal suggest this will happen again. This may not bode well, especially for traditional allies of the US. Not only that but Elon Musk, one of Trump’s close confidants, is openly bragging about his attempts to change governments in the UK and Germany – in an apparent move to shore up a global alliance of populist leaders.

Add to that a promised deal with Russia to end the war in Ukraine, a renewal of the maximum-pressure campaign against Iran and doubling down on confrontation with China, and you have all the ingredients of a fundamental remaking of US foreign policy.

Three particular aspects stand out and give an early indication of what the Trump doctrine of foreign policy might look like. First is the focus on the western hemisphere. Trump’s focus here appears to be simultaneously asserting US dominance in the affairs of the Americas and eliminating any perceived strategic vulnerabilities.

While Greenland, Canada and the Panama Canal have dominated the headlines, there are also implications for US relations with Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela, with Trump’s pick as secretary of state, Marco Rubio, being known for his hawkish approach.

Trump may inaccurately hype up China’s role in the Panama Canal, but Beijing has unquestionably increased its (mostly economic) footprint in Latin America. A Chinese-funded deep-water port in Peru has raised US security concerns. Chinese investment in Mexico has created an important backdoor into the US market, and contributed to the fact that Mexico is now the largest trade partner for the US. In 2024, Mexican exports of goods to the US stood at just under US$467 billion, compared with China’s US$401 billion.

Trump is likely to dial up the pressure in the western hemisphere using a mixture of threatening rhetoric, tariffs and political pressure. In an early demonstration of how serious the incoming administration takes the issue, his allies in Congress have already introduced a bill in the House of Representatives to “authorize the President to seek to enter into negotiations with the Kingdom of Denmark to secure the acquisition of Greenland by the United States”. Thousands of people from The People’s March 2025 were rallying in the nation’s capital Saturday to yell about aborting their babies and other causes they believe are under threat from the incoming Trump administration.

Their motto is “Hate Won’t Win” but ironically the one thing that binds them all together is their mutual shared hatred of our 47th president Donald Trump. All the talk of moving Trump’s inauguration inside has less to do with the polar vortex and everything to do with the ‘heat wave of hate’ that burned up the Mall in Washington DC earlier today. FROM EURO NEWS: The march is a reprisal of the original Women’s March days before President-elect Donald Trump’s second inauguration in 2017. Eight years after the first historic Women’s March at the start of Trump’s first term, marchers said they were caught off guard by Trump’s victory and are determined now to show that support remains strong for women’s access to abortion, for transgender people, for combating climate change and other issues.

Jill Parrish of Austin, Texas, said she initially bought a plane ticket to Washington for what she expected to be Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris’s inauguration. She wound up changing the dates to march in protest ahead of Trump’s swearing-in instead, saying the world should know that half of U.S. voters didn’t support Trump.

“Most importantly, I’m here to demonstrate my fear, about the state of our democracy,” Parrish said.

Demonstrators staged in squares around Washington ahead of the march, pounding drums and yelling chants under a slate-grey sky and in a chilly wind. They held signs with slogans including, “Save America” and “Against abortions? Then don’t have one” and “Hate won’t win.”

Minnesota high school teacher Anna Bergman wore her original pink pussy hat from her time in the 2017 Women’s March, a moment that captured the shock and anger of progressives and moderates at Trump’s first win.

With Trump coming back now, “I just wanted to be surrounded by likeminded people on a day like today,” Bergman said.

Rick Glatz, of Manchester, New Hampshire, said he came to Washington for the sake of his four granddaughters: ” I’m a grandpa. And that’s why I’m marching.”

Bill Gates already planning the next mRNA vaccine assault on America

In an snippet of the interview set to air next week, the tech mogul said: “We touched on a lot of things. It was over three hours, to my surprise.” The dinner included just Gates, Trump, Trump’s chief of staff Susie Wiles, and a member of Gates’ team. Gates’ foundation has pumped billions into fighting disease, raising issues like HIV cures and polio eradication at the exclusive meeting. And the tech mogul was apparently left captivated by Don’s interest in global health.
