Description
A Thanksgiving story for children of a dog’s determination to find his family and home. As Prince’s body struck the pavement, the big dog tumbled over and over, finally coming to a stop at the white line marking the side of the highway. He raised his head, let out one short yelp, then lay still. Prince’s determination to find his family leads him across highways and back roads, fields and valleys. Along the way he battles with a fierce bull, dodges a deadly rattlesnake, tangles with a mountain lion and confronts a burglar. Desperately lonely for human companionship, he charges into a city park filled with chattering children. Mistaken for a mad dog he is shot and wounded. Will Prince’s doggedness get him home in time to answer a little girl’s Thanksgiving Day prayer, or will he spend Thanksgiving in the dog pound?
