Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said no country would accept rocket barrages on its citizens, and neither will Israel, as Emmanuel Macron calls for an arms embargo

Welcome to the Jewish New Year, and welcome to the start of a regional war with Iran. Things really got rolling to a boiling point just hours ago as French president Emmanuel Macron called for an arms embargo on Israel, resulting in a scathing response from the Jewish leader. Netanyahu is having none of it, but what he is having is a massive military reply to the 200+ ballistic missiles sent over by Iran, with many of them landing on Israel. The powder keg is full, the match has been lit, it’s showtime.

Things are changing so fast in the Middle East right now, that by the time you read this, this article may already be out of date. Netanyahu says Israel has a ‘duty and right’ to hit back at Iran over missile attack as Macron calls for arms embargo

FROM THE TIMES OF ISRAEL: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday repeated his promise to strike back against Iran for its ballistic missile attack on Israel earlier in the week, saying it is a right any other country would have. Speaking from the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv, Netanyahu said: “No country in the world would accept such an attack on its cities and citizens, and Israel won’t either.

“Israel has the duty and the right to defend itself and respond to these attacks — and it will do so.”

The Israel Defense Forces said earlier Saturday the response would be “serious and significant.” Iran’s rocket barrage, the second such attack this year, came amid the war against terror groups Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Iran said it fired the missiles into Israel in response to attacks that killed leaders of Hezbollah, Hamas and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. It referenced Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and Revolutionary Guard Gen. Abbas Nilforoushan, both killed in an Israeli airstrike last week in Beirut. It also mentioned Ismail Haniyeh, the former leader of Hamas who was assassinated in Tehran in July in an attack widely attributed to Israel.

We have increased the relief we’re sending up to Asheville North Carolina by 400% thanks in part to the generous giving of NTEB’ers across America.

On the Podcast today, we told you about the Asheville relief efforts being organized by Pastor Andrew Tucker of Grace Baptist Church in Ekron, Kentucky. He and others drove the first shipments of water, food, clothes, diapers and other personal items up this week, with the next convoy leaving one week from today. All these items are being delivered to Pastor Andrew Sluder at Bible Baptist Church in Asheville where local people can come by and pick up what they need. NTEB is standing with these pastors, keeping the supply line on these front lines wide open, sending the supplies directly with no middle man.

Many parts of Asheville look more like a war zone than a quaint little city. Pastor Tucker called me up today to tell me of the lawlessness, looting and shootings that the people of Asheville have to deal with in addition to the aftermath of one of the most destructive hurricanes ever to hit America. Most of all, he told me to tell each and every one one of you all how very much they appreciate the support we are giving them. WWIII cannot be stopped, but if you want to at least slow it down a little, Israel must be allowed to take out all nuclear weapons capability in Iran

An op-ed piece in the UK Telegraph said this today “Israel must be allowed to attack Iran’s evil regime, and the West must support it. The regime is the original Islamist extremist state; it is the fount of almost all trouble in the Middle East, the foremost exporter of terrorism, an ally of Russia, a friend of China, a cancer eating away at humanity’s common destiny. Judgement Day beckons. It is time for Israel to save the West from itself, to conduct the dirty, dangerous work that far larger, richer and more powerful countries are too debilitated to pursue themselves.” For a non-believer, that’s pretty good. Very good, in fact. Let’s fill in the gaps with a little bit of Bible, shall we?

On this episode of the NTEB Prophecy News Podcast, the IDF rained down bunker busting bombs on Beirut today, looking to eliminate former Hezbollah secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah’s successor, Hashem Safieddine. No one is quite sure yet, but they think they got him. The military confirmed on Friday the elimination of Hezbollah communications network head Mohammad Rashid Sakafi. Wiping out Hamas was Step 1, dismantling Hezbollah is Step 2 now in progress, and bringing the war to a conclusion will be Step 3, the taking out of all nuclear capability in Iran. Without that third step, the first two ultimately won’t mean very much. Israel stunned the world with the exploding pagers, and everything that it’s done since then, but going nine-tenths of the distance is not finishing, and it is not winning. Israel must strike Iran, they have choice.
