The Santa Rosa Correctional Main Unit and Annex In Milton Florida Holds 2,500 Inmates And Their Chaplain Just Contacted Us Looking For Bibles
The Santa Rosa Correctional Institution and Annex houses 2,500 inmates and I would love for us to give every single one of them a King James Bible.
The Santa Rosa Correctional Institution and Annex is located in Milton, Florida, and houses up to 2,500 inmates at any given time. Senior Chaplain Gary Wieborg wrote to us recently wondering if we could give them some Bibles. I would dearly love to give them enough King James Bibles for every inmate they have, wouldn’t you?

Sending out that many Bibles would be our largest single effort to date, and would cost around $12,000 to pull it off, but it is consistent with other large orders the Lord has allowed us to fill with our Bibles Behind Bars program. This type of revival we are experiencing is real revival, where born again believers get on fire for the Lord and things get done in spectacular fashion. I love sending in ‘the light’ of the King James Bible to subdue the darkness of the prison cell. Just picture you or a loved one sitting in that place, and what an incredible gift a Bible would be. That’s what we’re doing, giving a lifeline of hope in a hopeless place.

I’d like to ask you to pray for our efforts in getting King James Bibles to the Santa Rosa facilities, the work of the Lord is always bathed in much prayer. The Minnesota Correction Facility At Stillwater In Bayport Minnesota Becomes The Latest Detention Center To Reach Out To Bibles Behind Bars
Built in 1914, the MCF-Stillwater is the state’s largest close-security institution for adult males. The facility has seven living units inside and also has a minimum-security unit outside the main perimeter.
The role of MCF-Stillwater in the DOC is to provide men with educational, vocational and industrial programming opportunities during incarceration. Educational programs include adult basic education, literacy, and general educational development (GED). Vocational programs include carpentry, welding, machining, boiler operation, and electrician. Stillwater also provides transitional life skills, behavioral change, and restorative justice programming. Today they reached out to us here at Bibles Behind Bars and asked if we could help them with Bibles.
“I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.” John 17:6 (KJB)
Chaplain Scott Westphal wrote to us earlier today with a short but straight to the point email. He said “We are in need of King James Version bibles. Large print. The guys are asking for them but we do not have any on hand.” He is the chaplain over at MCF-Stillwater, and sending Bibles to his facility will be the first open door the Lord has given us in the state of Minnesota. MCF-Stillwater is home to The Prison Mirror, the nation’s oldest, continuously-operated inmate newspaper. Founded in 1887, The Prison Mirror has won many national awards for outstanding penal journalism. Now they will receive the ‘good news’ of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ as found in the pages of the King James Bible.

Bibles Behind Bars Is Right Now Working To Supply 10 Jails And Prisons With King James Bibles And Gospel Literature, And We Need Your Help!
If you believe in sending out Bibles to inmates, keeping the supply line open for chaplains, pastors and personal workers to have what they need when they minister in the jails, then come help us. We need you!
Yesterday, NTEB’ers Dana and Mike Bragdon delivered hundreds of King James Bibles in English and Spanish, as well as boxes of gospel literature and scripture portions to the Floyd County Jail in Rome, Georgia. They were gratefully received by Chaplain David Thornton with open arms. This was the first Bibles Behind Bars delivery made through the brand-new NTEB North Georgia Bible Distribution Center, and we’ll tell you more about that in future articles. Thanks to your prayers and support, this Bible sending outreach continues to grow and expand. Praise the Lord!

Right now, we are working on suppling a record 10 jails and detention facilities with a full-spectrum assortment of King James Bibles, Spanish Bibles, scripture portions and gospel tracts, all at the same time. NTEB’er Charlton Head, who you remember from the NTEB Relief Convoy to Asheville, North Carolina, is organizing the situation on the ground up in Georgia, along with Mike and Dana, and Cindy and Steve Britt. We are also working directly with Humberto Gomez, translator of the Reina-Valera Gomez Bible, to expand our supply of Spanish Bibles and tracts.

Bibles Behind Bars Has Been Asked To Help Rebuild The Inmate Reading Library At The Jefferson County Jail In Wisconsin, And The Books Are On Their Way
By the first quarter of 2025, Lord willing, we should hit the 500,000 mark on our way to one million pieces of gospel literature sent out through this ministry!
Right now we have a record 8 jails and prisons who have reached out to us, asking for our help to stock their ministries with King James Bibles, and we are hard at work to make that happen. One of those places, the Jefferson County Jail in Wisconsin, needs help rebuilding their inmate reading library. Today we shipped out 3 large boxes of a wide variety and assortment of titles we stock here at the Bookstore, books that teach and preach Bible doctrine. What a blessing!

As the Bibles Behind Bars program, now in it’s third year, continues to grow and expand, it is also maturing. Where we once only sent out full King James Bibles, we are now also supplying detention centers with New Testaments, scripture portions, books like “What Must I Do To Be Saved?”, and gospel tracts.
